Scrabble!

I am SO HAPPY that I get to stay up late and play Scrabble with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Granddaddy.

Madison got be in charge of the timer. As you can see, she took her job VERY SERIOUSLY!

Which Halloween Costume?

Since Grandma and Granddaddy won't be here for Halloween, they wanted to see the girls in their Halloween costumes early.

Grandma got the girls chicken costumes from Old Navy last year after Halloween. Madison loves to lay eggs when she is wearing the chicken costume.

I found these pumpkin costumes last year at Target after Halloween. Isn't Jocelyn a cute little pumpkin!

I found the Bumble Bee costumes last year after Halloween at Bealls.
The Bumble Bee costume was Madison's favorite!

Jocelyn decided to fly up and down the stairs in her Bumble Bee costume.

Clay felt left out, so he decided to make his own costume!

Children's Ministry Assembly

Today was the 5th Sunday Children's Assembly at church for all of the kids ages 4 years old to 4th grade.

We began the assembly with singing puppets.

Then the Blackman's read us The Very Hungry Caterpillar by: Eric Carle.

We then played some review games.

The 8-10 year old class had a great time playing "Crawl to the Cross."

The 6-7 year old class enjoyed using the parachutes and balloons to play "God's Goodness."

Grandma and Granddaddy helped the 4-5 year old class play "God's Goodness."

Emmy Xiang loved crawling to the cross!

Here are the kids that are graduating to the next Children's Ministry class.

Katherine is enjoying her "Sweetness of Jesus" snack after all of the fun.

Clay and I have LOVED getting to serve this month in Children's Ministry. We look forward to serving again soon!

My Very Own "Rocketship!"

While Madison was at school on Friday, Granddaddy decided to surprise her by making her her very own "rocketship," just like the one she uses at Occupational Therapy.

Jocelyn supervised the project and made sure that Granddaddy put the screws in the right place.

Jocelyn loved her special time helping Granddaddy.

She got to be in charge of holding the washers.

Today while Jocelyn was napping, Madison got to help Granddaddy put the padding and fabric on her "rocketship." Grandma and I took Madison to JoAnn Fabric yesterday to pick out the fabric for her "rocketship." She picked a very soft and fuzzy hot pink.

The "rocketship" is complete and ready to ride.

Thank you, Granddaddy! Madison loves her "rocketship." She is going to be able to do her OT exercises everyday now.

A Day at the Beach!

Grandma wanted to go the beach for her birthday.

So we spent the morning soaking up the sun at the beach.

Jocelyn enjoyed chasing the birds while we set up the chairs and umbrella.

She enjoyed the water much more than the sand.

It was a little too sunny for Madison, so she and Grandma snuggled under Madison's new umbrella.

Daddy and Jocelyn got hungry and decided to share a cookie.

We are so happy that Daddy has the long weekend off to spend with us.

Madison and Jocelyn helped me decorate the house for Grandma's birthday.

Madison decided to be a duck by wearing the hat over her nose. Quack, Quack!

We are so happy that we could all be together to celebrate Grandma's birthday!

Fun Friday at School with Grandma!

Madison was so excited to take Grandma to school today.

The class is sitting on the bench out by the buses waiting for all of their classmates to arrive.

After everyone arrives they go to the cafeteria to eat breakfast.

They got to go outside and play at the water tables today.

Madison needed a drink to cool off.

Madison got to ride the special horse that Mrs. Hunter brought out for Fun Friday.

The kids got to play a name game while mixing pudding in a container that they then finger painted with.

Grandma said Madison was a good girl at school and was a great listener.

Madison got 6/6 stars and is admiring her "praiselet" as she sits in her cubbie and waits to go home.

All of the kids are sitting out front waiting for the school bus to take them home after a fun week at school.
