Georgia's On Our Mind

Today we got word that we will be moving to Georgia in the Spring.

We will be stationed at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia.  It will only be a four hour drive from our hometown.

Jocelyn lost her 4th tooth!

Jocelyn was shocked that she lost her 4th tooth while eating the chocolate candy that Nana and Pop brought her back from Ireland.

Jocelyn's new toothless smile!

I wonder if she will lose her two front teeth before Christmas?

More Family

We got to spend a few days with Uncle Mark, Aunt Debbie and Maggie Leigh.

The girls fell in love with their dog, Snickers.

They also enjoyed reading and playing games with Aunt Debbie.

The girls even got some early Christmas gifts, which really helped with the long ride back home to Virginia.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our Thanksgiving was filled with family!

This morning we visited Great Grandma.

Great Grandma was happy to see Clay.  She has been faithfully praying for him while he was away.

The girls love Uncle Kyle!

We spent the afternoon with Clay's family.  It was so nice to be altogether and enjoy a delicious meal.

We are so grateful for our family!

Jocelyn lost her 3rd tooth!

Jocelyn told us after dinner that her bottom tooth was ready to come out.

Jocelyn wiggled it and let Grandma help her pull it out.

Grandma, Jocelyn and her lost tooth!

Jocelyn lost her 3rd tooth!

Baby Cooper

Today we got to go meet Lindsay's newest little guy.

The girls are in love with him already.

Speedy Recovery

Granddaddy's recovery is going very well.  We were all thrilled to hear that the pathology report came back and the cancer was contained in the prostate.  Now that his prostate has been removed, he should be cancer free.  Praise the Lord!

Daddy/Daughter Date

Today Madison had her special Daddy/Daughter Day.

First, they went to Mixon's Fruit Farm for the annual Fall Festival.

Madison got to ride a pony through the orange groves.

She even got to see the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo.

She was so brave and did the bungee jump trampoline.

Madison also got her face painted to match her outfit.

Daddy took Madison to the playground after the Fall Festival.

They had so much fun playing together and...

being silly!

Madison LOVES her Daddy!

They saw some very interesting people.

Jocelyn liked the Fairies best.

Jocelyn got her face painted.

Daddy helped Jocelyn shoot an arrow.

They got to ride a camel.

Jocelyn loved swinging.

Jocelyn found her knight in shining armor.

They enjoyed watching the shows and...

jousting.

Jocelyn enjoyed her special day with Daddy.

Leaving the Hospital

Mom and I spent the day at the hospital with Dad.

The doctor said he was doing well and could go home this afternoon.

It was so nice to see him up and walking.

Prostatectomy

About a month ago, my dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.

We all wanted to be here for his surgery, so we drove back down to Florida.

Granddaddy was all smiles at 5:30 this morning.

He was joking and kidding around even before they gave him the "happy" medicine.

Clay made Granddaddy an "elephant" balloon to play with while we waited for his surgery to begin.

Granddaddy's surgery went well, but he has to spend the night in the hospital.  We are looking forward to bringing him home tomorrow.  We are praying for a complete healing and speedy recovery.

Moody AFB

We spent the last few days at Moody AFB in Valdosta, Georgia.

Moody AFB is home of the Flying Tigers.

We enjoyed checking out the area, since there is a good chance this is where we will be moving to next.

The best part is that it is only a four hour drive from most of our family.
