Trunk or Treat!

This afternoon the girls helped me decorate our trunk for "Trunk or Treat!"

The girls had tons of fun Trunk or Treating tonight!

The girls came home and sorted their candy. Madison put everything back into the candy bowl for tomorrow night except for the pretzels, a strawberry Laffy Taffy and two Smarties. Jocelyn on the other hand kept everything. ;)

Halloween Package!

The girls ran to meet the mailman when they saw him bringing a package to our door.

They were so excited to open it and...

discover it was from Grandma Cathy (Jocelyn's birth grandmother).

She couldn't wait to eat a pumpkin Peep!

They couldn't wait to start coloring.

Once they colored them...

they went into the dark pantry and...

saw them GLOW IN THE DARK!

Jocelyn wants to hang it in her bedroom for a night light now.

Halloween Mail

The girls were so excited when they checked the mail today and discovered that they had Halloween cards from Grandma and Granddaddy, Nana and Pop, and Mimi.

They loved finding $5.oo inside the Halloween card from Mimi.

Jocelyn loved the Halloween Winnie the Pooh stickers that were inside the card from Grandma and Granddaddy.

Madison thought it was funny that Nana and Pop AND Grandma and Granddaddy got her the SAME card. ;)

The girls couldn't wait to combine their Halloween money and go to the store to buy the new Barbie movie. They watched it tonight with Miss Shayla while Clay and I went on our weekly date night.

Sweet Saturday!

This morning we served at the Five Loaves Food Bank. The girls did a great job unloading and sorting a pick-up truck full of canned goods and non-perishable items. Once they sorted them, Clay and I put them on the shelves in the pantry. It was a great morning of working together and serving our community. We are looking forward to doing it again soon.

Then we headed to the Greek Festival for some lunch.

After lunch, we went to the base movie theatre for a FREE advanced showing of Puss in Boots! The girls thought it was really cool that we were getting to see the movie a week before it was released to the public.

Tonight the ladies from our church group went to the Melting Pot for a surprise baby shower for Jamie (on the right). Melissa (on the left) just had a baby boy 7 weeks ago.

We had so much fun that we decided we should have a Ladies' Night Out at least once a month.

Wood's Pumpkin Patch!

Today we took the girls to the Wood's Pumpkin Patch.

They loved seeing the BIG white pumpkins.

They each picked a little pumpkin...

to turn into a glitter pumpkin.

First, we painted our pumpkins with a glue.

Then we covered them with glitter.

Jocelyn's Jack o' Lantern!

Time for Jocelyn to get messy and carve her pumpkin.

She wanted Daddy to help her carve it. ;)
