Reuniting with Friends

This morning we picked up Gammy in Richmond, VA and...

drove to see our friends in Pennsylvania.

We got to meet Kerra for the first time.

What a little cutie!

Jocelyn tried to make friends with their cats.

Madison had fun playing with Kerra.

They are so HAPPY to be back together again!

Mrs. Megan made us a tasty dinner. Yummy in our tummy!

The Legend of the Sand Dollar

Granddaddy made the girls this special piece of art to teach them about The Legend of the Sand Dollar.

There's a lovely little legend
that I would like to tell,
of the birth and death of Jesus,
found in this lowly shell.

If you examine closely,
you'll see that you find here,
four nail holes and a fifth one,
made by a
Roman's spear.

On one side the Easter lily,

its center is the star,

that appeared unto the shepherds
and led them from afar.

The Christmas Poinsettia

etched on the other side,
reminds us of His birthday,
our happy Christmastide.

Now break the center open,
and here you will release,
the five white doves
awaiting,
to spread Good Will and Peace.

This simple little symbol,
Christ left for you and me,
to help us spread His Gospel,
through all Eternity.

Colonial Williamsburg

Today Grandma and Daddy took the girls to Colonial Williamsburg while the rest of us got some chores done around the house.

The girls always enjoy learning about the different animals.

Today they got to see a sheep being sheered.

Then they taught Daddy how to play hoops.

They stopped by the well before having a snack and heading home.

Granddaddy and I were busy raking leaves and...

wrapping presents to put under the girls' Christmas tree.

Santa Look Alike Contest

Madison and Uncle Kyle decided to have a Santa Look Alike Contest tonight.

First, we smeared Vaseline on their faces.

Now they are ready to dunk their faces into the cotton balls.

Santa Cotton Ball Beards!

Which Santa wins?
