Letter and Coloring Pages from Ms. Keisha!

The girls were excited to get a letter in the mail from Ms. Keisha (Jocelyn's birth mother)!

Hello Jocelyn and Madison,
How are you girls doing? I wanted to write and tell you "thank you" for all of my pretty photos and pictures! You girls are growing up so fast! I wanted to send you these pictures to color. I hope you like them, they are for ALL different times of the year! Be good for Mommy and Daddy! I'll talk to you soon!
Love,
Ms. Keisha

Madison loved all of the coloring pages!

Jocelyn couldn't wait to color one of the coloring pages and send it back to Ms. Keisha.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Golfing with Daddy!

This afternoon we took the girls to the Langley Golf Course to play 9 holes of golf with Daddy.

They LOVED riding in the golf carts!

Jocelyn enjoyed the bunkers.

She would rake the bunkers for FUN!

Jocelyn got so close to making this putt, but...

missed. :(

Madison not only looked good golfing, but...

she made some amazing putts. :)

Madison even helped hold the pin for Daddy when he putted. ;)

The girls enjoyed their afternoon golfing with Daddy and can't wait to do it again soon.

Back to the Zoo!

Today we took the girls back to the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk.

Norfolk is known for Mermaid artwork. Check out this Zoo Mermaid!

Jocelyn was excited to be back at the zoo.

Giving the turtle some hugs.

Taking a break at the dog house.

We saw the Prairie Dogs for the first time today!

The girls LOVED poking their heads up to see the prairie dogs!

We got to see some month old piglets having a mid-morning snack.

Two little monkeys! ;)

Spider Web!

Madison is ready to cool off in the water!

Time to get W-E-T!

The girls loved spinning the giant granite globe.

Jocelyn was so happy that she got to go into the water this time.

Soaking wet, HAPPY and HUNGRY.

We enjoyed lunch at the Zoo Cafe.

The giraffe was sad to see that Madison wasn't wearing her giraffe dress today.

The ostrich was smiling at us.

The meerkat was posing too.

As we were leaving the zoo we saw a bird catch a frog. ;)

Pancakes!

The girls eat tons of mini pancakes, so a couple of weeks ago I taught them how to use the microwave and make their own.

Here is a video of Madison showing you how she can make pancakes all by herself.

It looks like Jocelyn needs a little more practice. ;)

Jocelyn was very sad that she burnt her pancakes!

Jocelyn accidentally cooked her pancakes for 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds. Don't worry Jocelyn, a couple of months ago Granddaddy burnt the pancakes too.

She couldn't figure out what went wrong!?!

Granddaddy's Little Angels

Granddaddy made this beautiful cross for his little angels.

The girls LOVE the special cross that Granddaddy made for them. It is hanging over the "time out" bench to help remind them that God LOVES them and that Granddaddy wants them to act like little angels.

Norfolk Botanical Garden

Today we went to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.

The girls are loving their time with Grandma.

We hopped on the tram and headed out to see the gardens.

Our first stop was the Butterfly Garden.

Daddy and Jocelyn went through the Butterfly Maze.

Butterfly Madison!

Madison and Mommy found a shady spot to enjoy the pretty gardens.

Madison in the pretty flowers!

We found a beautiful spot by the lake.

Grandma and Madison found a turtle swimming in the lake.

Sweet Sisters!

Kissing!

A butterfly landed on my foot in the Butterfly Garden.

Jocelyn examined every butterfly.

Madison was very serious about examining the caterpillars.

Jocelyn got to hold a butterfly!

Jocelyn was all smiles...

covered with butterflies!

Then we headed to the Children's Enchanted Garden, which is filled with cute little storybook houses!

The girls hanging out at Jack's house with the beanstalks.

Little Red Jocelyn and the Woodsman!

Ringing the bell!

Old MacDonald's Farm!

Riding the cool horse tire swing!

We finished our day at the World of Wonders Children's Adventure Garden! It had a very cool splash park that the girls can't wait to go back to and play in.
