Goodbye Wiggly Tooth!

Madison lost her 2nd tooth tonight!

She was a little sad to see wiggly tooth go, but it was just hanging there after dinner, so she let me pull it out with two pulls.

Can't wait to see what the Tooth Fairy leaves Madison for this tooth!

Madison woke up the next morning and found two dollars and a note from the Tooth Fairy.

Trike-A-Thon!

The girls were super excited about participating in the Trike-A-Thon again. This year they raised $80.00 for the St. Jude Children's Hospital. Thank you to everyone that donated.

Jocelyn remembered how much fun they had at the Trike-A-Thon last year and couldn't wait to go to school today.

The girls were looking forward to riding their brand new bicycles in the Trike-A-Thon.

Jocelyn is an Aunt!

We adopted Jocelyn when she was six months old and have been blessed to have the opportunity to keep in touch with her birth family. A few months ago we found out that Jocelyn's half-sister, Brittani was expecting a baby girl in March. Here is a picture of baby Jocelyn with her half-sister Brittani:

Stella Marie was born at 11:12 a.m. on March 17, 2011.

She weighted 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20.3 inches long.

Welcome to the world Stella Marie. You are a precious gift from God. You and your family hold a special place in our hearts. We love you even though we haven't met you. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Zebra Cakes

Today Madison read Zack the Lazy Zebra to Jocelyn's preschool class for Z Week. We made Zebra Cakes for a special snack to eat after the story.

We layered chocolate and vanilla cake mix to make striped cupcakes.

We iced the cupcakes with white icing and added a cute little zebra face with black and pink icing.

Contractions

This week Madison is learning about contractions.

Dr. Madison is ready to do some word surgery.

First, she cut out the letter that didn't belong in the contraction.

Then she taped the word back together and put an apostrophe "scar" in the place where she cut out the letter. ;)

Dr. Madison is exhausted after completing 4 word surgeries today. She better rest up because she has 4 more surgeries already scheduled for tomorrow.

We also played a game of Heart Contractions.

Madison matched up the arrows to the correct heart by solving the contractions.

We also played some FUN contraction games online.

Time with Tyler!

This afternoon we babysat Tyler.

The girls helped him practice his walking.

Jocelyn thought he would enjoy playing in the tunnel...

but Tyler wasn't too sure about it.

Jocelyn tried to tempt him with a trail of Cherrios, but he didn't fall for it.

SOLD!!!

Silly little Jocelyn always makes us smile, but she cracked us all up when she came around the corner with a 22 cent price tag on her nose. Daddy immediately said, "SOLD!" "How much for Mommy and Madison?" To which Madison quickly replied, "I am only 91 cents." What a deal!

Unique Pineapple Upside Down Cakes

Madison is going to read Umbrellabird's Umbrella to Jocelyn's preschool class this week because the letter of the week is U. We also made each of the kids their own unique pineapple upside down cake to eat for a special snack after the story. Madison loves that the pineapple pieces look like Umbrellabird's wings from the story.
