Virginia Living Museum with Nana and Pop

Today we took Nana and Pop to the Virginia Living Museum.

We headed straight to the Planetarium to watch a film about Dinosaurs.

After the movie our little Cave Girls checked out the new Dinosaur Exhibit that just opened this weekend.

The girls loved seeing the dinosaurs up close.

The little baby dinosaurs hatching out of the eggs were so cute.

Downtown Hampton and Norfolk Naval Base

This morning we went with Nana and Pop to the Farmer's Market right around the corner in Downtown Hampton.

The girls had fun sitting on the big tractor.

We enjoyed walking up and down the street looking in some of the shops and seeing what the vendors were selling.

A local church had some fun activities set up for the kids. Jocelyn enjoyed blowing BIG bubbles.

Jocelyn's Bubble Head!

Madison had fun dancing in the bubbles too.

They even made Madison a pink poodle balloon animal.

Jocelyn got a ladybug painted on her face and...

a ladybug balloon animal.

Madison got a butterfly painted on her cheek.
We left the Farmer's Market and headed to the Norfolk Naval Base to look at the BIG ships. After that we went to the NEX to shop and finished our time on base with lunch at Chili's.

On our way home we stopped at the indoor wooden Carousel in Downtown Hampton to take a ride.

Nana and Pop Arrived

Nana and Pop arrived a little bit after lunch today. We had a fun afternoon taking them to Wood's Orchard to buy some yummy strawberries and peaches. Then we drove along the water to look at all the beautiful homes.

We stopped at the pier to feed the birds, but it was VERY WINDY!

We went across the street to play at the playground for a little bit before heading home to eat dinner.

The girls were super excited to get some early birthday gifts from Nana and Pop. They each got a new DSi game, sundress, and tank top. Madison also got a preschool graduation card with $5.oo and some colored pencils.

We are looking forward to a wonderful long weekend with Nana and Pop!

Field Day!

Today was Field Day at the girls' school.

Madison went down the BIG slide with one of the high school helpers (Miss Becca). Madison thought the slide was too hot, so she only went down it once.

Jocelyn didn't seem to mind the hot slide. She went down several times.

Madison and Scott stood at the bottom of the slide holding hands and cheering for all of their classmates. It was too cute!

Jocelyn also got a chance to play a dance party video game for the first time.

The kids cooled off with some popsicles before heading inside to eat their hot dogs and chips.

The kids all had fun even though they had sweaty heads and blue tongues. ;)

Preschool Graduation Card!

Mimi (Clay's grandmother) sent Madison a preschool graduation card with $5.00 inside. Madison was so excited to get mail and was even more excited when she saw the money inside. She is still trying to decided what she wants to buy. Thank you Mimi for the sweet card and for making Madison soooooo happy! Jocelyn can't wait until she graduates from preschool next year. ;)
