The girls made "Sponge People" at school today. Aren't they cute?
After school we headed to our second swim lesson. Today the girls swam the whole length of the pool only using their noodle. Jocelyn needed a little help, but...
Madison did it all by herself. However when it was time to practice her floating and jumping into the water she got scared and started crying. We took a minute to pray together and she was able to persevere and finish today's lesson. After talking with the swim instructor we decided that I will wear my swimsuit and join them in the water for Friday's lesson, so that Madison will feel more comfortable. Please pray that she will be able to overcome her fear and learn to swim.
We got a SUPER surprise tonight when Clay called and told us that it looks like he will be coming home sooner than he was first told. YEAH!!! It looks like he is definitely going to make it home before Madison and Jocelyn's birthdays!!! The girls were jumping up and down with excitement. It will be sooooo nice to have Daddy home to celebrate their birthdays. He couldn't give us exact dates, but it looks like he will be coming home right around when the girls are getting out of school for summer break. What a great way to start our summer vacation.

Oh that's awesome, Brittney! I will definitely pray that Clay comes home sooner than you had expected!
Oh yay! I have tears of joy in my eyes! SO EXCITED for you all! I've never heard of them allowing them to come home SOONER. The fact that they allowed them to tell their families makes me think they won't go back on it too! We'll certainly be praying for a safe return home for Clay!
I know Megan. We were shocked. The PA that was there helping him left a few weeks ago, so Clay has been working 24/7 to cover everything. They told him that they weren't going to send a replacement PA, but if he toughed it out and worked on his own for the remainder of his deployment they would let him come home a few weeks sooner than what they had originally said. Needless to say he is going to tough it out so that he can make it home in time for the girls' birthdays. They have already told him that he gets to fly the commercial airlines home, so he isn't going to have to wait for a military flight out. YEAH! The commercial flight will be much more comfortable. He will have to fly back to Ft. Bragg first to drop off the supplies that they gave him and then he will fly home from there. Still can't believe that he will be home in a little over a month. Yippee!!
Awesome! I told Danny and his concern was Clay having to wait for his replacement before he could leave, but it seems it's more or less taken care of-SWEET! So great that he'll get to fly commercial back! We are THRILLED for you guys and will be also praying that all goes well with everyone until long after he comes home (forever would be best, but that may not happen!)! Love you guys!
What exciting news!!! So happy for you guys - God is good! =0)
