Sarasota Bayfront

It was such a beautiful afternoon that we decided to take a walk around Sarasota Bayfront.

Breathtaking views!

We enjoyed looking at all of the artwork as we walked. Madison even decided to join in and become a statue.

Madison threw some pennies into the dolphin fountain and made a wish.

Madison found another piece of artwork to pose in.

Madison and I are enjoying the beautiful Florida weather and scenery, but please pray for Jocelyn. Her allergies are really acting up and she is miserable anytime we go outside.

Bowling

This afternoon we picked Miss Regina up and went bowling.

The bowling alley was running a Spring Break Special, so we got an hour and a half of bowling with shoe rentals and a large pizza and pitcher of soda for one low price.

Click here to see a video of Madison's unique bowling style and dance.

Click here to see a video of Jocelyn's slow motion bowling. We just had to laugh at how long it took for the ball to reach the pins. ;)

Jocelyn was jumping up and down with excitement and so was her pigtail. ;)

Miss Regina got a STRIKE!
Grandma got 3 strikes in a row, but I missed getting pictures of them.

Two Thumbs Up for Bowling!

(Yes, I do realize that I almost got beat by my 4 year old daughter.)

Babysitting Bernadett

Today we went with Grandma to meet the little girl that she babysits.

We walked to the park right around the corner from Bernadett's house.

Bernadett is a beautiful little girl. We all had a great time playing with her today.

Mustache March

Tonight we were able to Skype with Clay. This is only the third time that we have been able to do this since he left in December. Unfortunately Madison had already fallen asleep for the night, but the rest of us got a chance to talk to him. We also got to see the mustache that he is growing for Mustache March. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of the computer screen to document what my husband looks like with a mustache. He assures me that it will be gone before he comes home.

Dollhouse!

My Dad built this amazing 3 story dollhouse with an elevator for me when I was 4 years old.

Handcrafted by Daddy
For Brittney Poffenbarger
December 1983

Granddaddy has been working very hard to repair, refinish, and furnish my old dollhouse.

This dollhouse even comes with a pool on the roof.

The 3rd floor is the Bedroom and Bathroom.

The 2nd floor is the Kitchen and Dining Room.

The 1st floor is the Family Room.

Once the dollhouse was ready, Granddaddy added Madison and Jocelyn's names to it.

Click here to see the video of Granddaddy surprising the girls with the dollhouse.

The first thing Madison's Barbie did was take the elevator to the roof for a swim.

Jocelyn's Barbie checked out all of the new pretty pink furniture.

Thank you so much Granddaddy! We love the dollhouse!

Sunday Summary

The girls were excited to go to church this morning and see Uncle Kyle.

After lunch the girls helped Grandma make a Cherry Surprise Cake.

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa came over for the afternoon to visit with us.

The girls loved playing Barbies with Uncle Kyle.

Flying to Florida!

When we arrived at the airport, Madison wanted to make sure that her backpack could come on the plane with her.

We arrived early enough that the girls had time to play at the indoor play area before we went through security.

Jocelyn even put on a show for Madison.

The girls were so happy to see our plane arrive. It was 15 minutes late.

The girls sucked on lollipops during the take off and landing to help their ears.

The flight attendant gave each of the girls a coloring book and pair of wings since it was their first flight.

The girls were so happy to see Grandma and Granddaddy when we landed.

Granddaddy even made us a Welcome Banner!

We ate a late dinner, unpacked and then Grandma read the girls a bedtime story. We are so happy to be here!

Ready to head to FLORIDA!

Our bags are all packed and we are ready to go to Florida for three weeks! We will be checking 5 bags and 2 car seats.

The girls are super excited about flying on an airplane for the first time. (Madison flew as a baby, but she doesn't remember it.)

Please pray that we have an uneventful flight and everything goes smoothly since I will be flying alone with the girls. A huge "Thank You" to Mr. Lance for driving us to the airport!
