Bradenton Beach City Pier

On the way home from the beach, we stopped at the Bradenton Beach City Pier.

We enjoyed shopping and...

watching the boats.  

The girls got to watch the pelicans fish off the pier.  

The girls loved getting to swing on the swing that Clay and I use to swing on when we were dating. 

Grandma's Birthday!

Today we celebrated Grandma's 57th birthday!  Granddaddy made her a traditional toilet paper banner.  

Granddaddy had to go to work today, but he made a paper plate version of himself in the condo so that he could spend the day with Grandma.

After breakfast, we enjoyed a walk on the beach.

We saw more crabs. 

We spent the rest of the day enjoying the pool and the beach.  

Jocelyn made this sandcastle all by herself.

The girls wanted Daddy to know that they miss him.  We wish he was here playing with us at the beach.

We took Grandma to the Chart House for her birthday dinner and the signature dessert that takes 30 minutes to make.    

 The girls have LOVED getting to spend the summer with Grandma and Granddaddy.

I am so thankful for my mom and the wonderful example she is for me.  

Regina joined us for Grandma's birthday celebration.

My mom is a great Big Sister to her Little Sister.  

We love you, Grandma and Granddaddy!

We enjoyed a sunset walk on the beach before heading to bed.

We even got to see the moon come out.  

Turtle Crawl

Today we went to the Turtle Crawl condo to spend a few days at the beach.

The girls love playing in the waves...

 and the sand.

They even got to play putt-putt golf with Granddaddy.

We took a walk on the beach after dinner and...

 saw several crabs.

Mommy and Jocelyn enjoyed watching the sunset.

We are looking forward to celebrating Grandma's birthday tomorrow.

Lindsay's Baby Shower

 Today we hosted a Baby Shower for Lindsay.

Lindsay is having another boy.

We can't wait to meet baby Cooper!

The girls enjoyed decorating and helping with the baby shower.

We had fun making a baby carriage fruit bowl.  

We also made Rubber Duck Punch.

The cupcake tree was a big hit for dessert.

We had fun playing a game, eating and opening gifts.  

Typhoon

I got the following email from Clay:

"This is going to be the largest storm here in 13 years.  Waves of 30-40 ft, winds sustained at 130 kts w/ gust up to 160.  The eye is going to be 6-12 miles from Kadena Air Base, i.e. a direct hit.  Hence, I'm pretty nervous but everyone says we should be fine."

We were able to Skype this morning and he informed me that the storm has intensified even more.  Please pray for everyone that is in the path of this typhoon.  You can monitor the storm at weather.kadenaforcesupport.com

Kobe's 5th Birthday Party

Today we went to Kobe's 5th birthday party!

The girls had fun making Spiderman crafts.

Water Day!

Today was Water Day at Sarasota Alliance Church. 

We ate hot dogs, watermelon and snow cones after church.

Then it was time to get W-E-T!

The girls loved going down the water slide.

The BUBBLES were the BEST though!

They had bubbles everywhere.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

Today Clay and his techs went to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.

It was over an hour drive, so they stopped by the gorgeous water along the way.  

Clay was very impressed with the aquarium and....

 enjoyed getting to see the whale sharks.

  

Botanical Garden

It looks like he is enjoying himself and...

 embracing the Japanese culture.
