Our New House

Grandma and Granddaddy arrived on Friday.  They helped us with tons of projects around the house this weekend.
We painted and hung the swing on the front porch, painted all of the outdoor light fixtures and decorated with some hanging plants.

Granddaddy also hung everything on the walls.  The cross wall looks great in the dining room.

Our bedroom is coming along too.

Madison gave Granddaddy a thank you note for hanging things in her bedroom.

Jocelyn loves her ladybug bedroom.

Ouch!

The girls have been riding their scooters up and down the driveway like crazy.  Unfortunately, Madison  had her first scooter accident today.  She landed right on her face.  The left side of her face looks normal, but the right side of her face looks "damaged" according to Jocelyn.

Wild Adventures

Today we took our first trip to Wild Adventures.

We got to meet Crunch the mascot.

Madison loved riding all of the roller coasters with Daddy.

Jocelyn would scream on every roller coaster.

The girls and Daddy did several of the roller coasters.

Jocelyn did Dizzy Dragons all by herself.

We enjoyed walking on the path to look at the animals.

Madison took a picture of Daddy and I.

We got to see tons of animals.  Jocelyn was even brave and held the snake with Daddy.

The tortoises came right up to us.

Seeing alligators reminds us of Florida.

Jocelyn got to feed birds in the aviary.

I even got in on the action.

Madison decided flying like a bird would be more fun.

Flying Daddy and Jocelyn

They made the mistake of riding the Sidewinder right after lunch.

This was more their speed.

We enjoyed brushing the goats at the petting zoo.

Silly Madison told the calf that her favorite meal is meatloaf and thanked the calf for being so yummy.

The pig fell asleep while Madison was brushing it.

We all enjoyed our first trip to Wild Adventures and are looking forward to going back now that we have season passes.

Welcome to Stone Creek

Our neighbors across the street brought us cupcakes and welcomed us to the neighborhood.  They have a seven year old granddaughter that the girls are looking forward to meeting and playing with.

Today we hopped on the golf cart and headed to the playground.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch and...

then played on the playground.

It was nice to take a break from all the unpacking.

The girls are excited to have such a cool playground right around the corner.

When we got home, we collected all of the sticks that were in the yard.  I love how Jocelyn tried to break the sticks on her knee just like Daddy did.  She found out it is a lot harder than it looks. ;)

We burned up all of the sticks in our fire pit.

Moving Day

We were getting tired of sitting around the TLF waiting to move, so we drove down to Grandma and Granddaddy's house for the weekend.  While we were there, we loaded up a U-Haul truck with items they were giving us for the new house.

We started the drive back to Georgia, but ended up sitting for 2 hours on I-75 because of a bad accident just ahead of us.  The girls got out of the van to go talk to Daddy in the U-Haul truck in front of us.  Not many kids get to run on I-75.

Madison passed the time by reading the comics.  I filed my nails and Jocelyn watched The Lion King while we waited for the traffic to start moving.

Once we got to the house, we unloaded the furniture and returned the U-Haul.  We love our new comfy leather sofas.

Our first night in the house, was spent camping out in the Living Room.  Mommy got to sleep on the sofa.  Madison got to sleep on the loveseat.  Daddy and Jocelyn decided to sleep on the floor.  We enjoyed watching The Magic School Bus on the girls' DVD player before bed.

The next morning the movers arrived at 8 a.m.  They had everything unloaded and in the house by 3 p.m.

The girls were happy to finally sleep in their own beds.

Madison loves her new horse bedding.

After making sure that we all had beds that were ready to sleep in, I worked on putting all of the kitchen items away last night.  It is so nice to have a house to call home, even if it is full of boxes at the moment.  Thank you to all of you that have been praying for us during this move.  I will be posting more pictures of the house as we get things organized.

We have enjoyed going to the base entertainment center called The Spot.  We got to play foosball, ping-pong and do a lazer maze.

We also went bowling!

Banks Lake

Today we went to Banks Lake in Lakeland, Georgia.

The girls loved seeing all of the lily pads.

It was a beautiful day at the lake.

We tried fishing,

but didn't catch anything.

We just enjoyed the beautiful scenery instead.
