Excuse Me, May I Please Go Potty?

When Clay got home tonight we were talking about stuff when Madison came up to us and said, "Excuse me, may I please go potty?" Clay and I looked at each other funny and said, "Sweetheart, you don't have to ask permission to go potty. You are a big girl now and can go whenever you need to." She looked at us funny and said, "But there is a sign on the door that said I couldn't."

Oops, I had just finished putting signs on the doors that are going to be off limits for the movers. That way we have rooms that we can keep things in that we are still using and they won't pack them up.
Speaking of the movers. They are coming tomorrow morning to do a walk through to see what all they need to bring with them and what to be prepared for on Monday.

The Joys of Moving

My day today was spent....

filling nail holes and then doing touch up painting.
(Don't worry not every wall had this many holes in it. This is the wall that my cross collection was hanging on, so it had the most holes.)

The Movers will be here in ONE WEEK

It is hard to believe that the movers will be here in ONE week to pack up and load all of our stuff and take it to Virginia. Originally they were suppose to come next Tuesday and Wednesday, but then they contacted us and told us that they would be coming Monday and Tuesday instead.

Needless to say we are busy taking everything off the walls and preparing for the movers.

Everything looks so empty.

The sad looking playroom with NO TOYS.

All of Madison's bedroom decorations are in her closet so that the packers can easily pack them and move her furniture at the same time.

Jocelyn's bedroom minus all of the ladybugs but ONE. She has to have at least one ladybug to snuggle at night.

The girls have been great during all of the moving preparations. They spent the day creating their own "Princess Castle" out of Legos. Some ladybugs even got to visit the castle.

Day at the Country Club

The girls and I decided to hang out at the pool, while Daddy and Pop played golf.

Jocelyn had to check it all out first.

She then spent hours moving water from one container to another.

On your mark, get set, ...
GO!

What FUN!

Birthday with Nana and Pop

On our way home from Virginia, we stopped in North Carolina to visit Nana and Pop.

The girls love their Nana and Pop!

Madison was very excited to find out that they got to open birthday gifts from Nana and Pop.

Our little Ladybug Girl!

Daddy even got some new clothes for his birthday!

Sandy Bottom Nature Park

During our last day in Virginia, we decided to go check out the Sandy Bottom Nature Park.

They had a very cool touch and feel table. After exploring the Nature Center...

we got our life jackets on.

Then we walked down the trail to the...

paddle boats!

Madison was VERY excited about her first paddle boat ride.

Ready to go!

Jocelyn sat in the back of the boat all by herself like a BIG girl.
What a fun afternoon in the sun! We can't wait to go back and do it again.

We got the house!

We got a phone call last night telling us that we got the house! We had to negotiate on the rent a little, but we are still getting a great deal. (I took these pictures off of the realtor's website, so some of them our old. You can tell because the planter beds aren't in the front yard.) We will be meeting the realtor at the house today to sign the paperwork and take additional pictures. Plus I need to measure all of the rooms and figure out where are furniture will go.

Our new house!

The formal living room with beautiful hardwood floors, fireplace, and a built in bookcase.

This will be our homeschool room. I am still planning on homeschooling the girls next year in the morning even though Madison will go to a three hour PreK program in the afternoon to receive her Speech and OT therapy.

The kitchen. It is an eat in kitchen with a double oven and an island. I like the fact that it has two windows in it, so I can see the girls playing outside while I cook.

The playroom with french doors out to a covered patio and fenced backyard to run and play in.

The master bedroom with beautiful hardwood floors.

***************************
Lance and Nyx also found a house. The best part is that it is just a few minutes from our house. They owe me a "finding fee" though, because I found it for them. :)
God has been so kind to us during this house hunting trip!
