Mixon Fruit Farms
Even though we did not expect to see Clay for many months when he left for his deployment, we are thrilled to say that he is here visiting us in Florida for a bit.
Today we took a family trip to Mixon Fruit Farms!
The girls always enjoy going through the Butterfly Maze.
They love running through the maze and...
seeing all of the beautiful flowers!
We checked out the gift shop and bought some fudge for Daddy. Then we hopped on the tram for a tour of the orange groves and to see the animals.
The girls got to feed a deer.
They got to touch a tortoise.
Then they got their picture with an owl.
The girls enjoyed getting to eat ice cream and feed the fish after the tour.
We loved are afternoon at Mixon Fruit Farm!
We are so happy that we get to spend a little bit of extra time with Daddy!

Goodbye Gray Hairs!
I have been having to pluck out more and more random gray hairs, so I finally decided to color my hair for the first time. Daddy and the girls help me pick out a temporary color to try.
Madison took my before picture. You can't really see the gray hairs, but believe me they are in there.

Here is the after picture. It doesn't look much different, but it did cover the gray. Clay says, "it looks more red." Madison says, "it looks the same" and Jocelyn says, "it looks longer." ;)

Fascinate-U
We took the girls to Downtown Fayetteville to visit the Fascinate-U Children's Museum.

The museum was set up like a little town. The girls headed to the construction site first. Granddaddy would be so proud.

Jocelyn decided to hit the ATM to get some money.

Madison worked hard in the Post Office.

Then the girls went by the grocery store to pick up some produce.

Madison was a little afraid to do the fireman pole without help.

Jocelyn was driving to an emergency.

Madison LOVED dressing up like a bride.

Judge Jocelyn!

Madison found a "Top Secret" Scavenger Hunt Mission.

We got to pick a prize from the treasure box once we completed the "Top Secret" Scavenger Hunt.

Before we left, Daddy showed the girls where we live and where he will be flying to tomorrow. Madison was amazed that Daddy will be on the other side of the world.
When we left the museum, we went into the "cupcake store" next door to get a tasty snack. Jocelyn couldn't wait to eat her double chocolate cupcake. Mommy enjoyed a cheesecake cupcake.

Unicornia, Bluebeary, and Handsomes
Instead of spending the day in the very small hotel room here at Ft. Bragg, the girls and I decided to head to the mall. We stopped by Children's Place to get some $5.00 sweaters. We also went into Victoria's Secret to use a free $10.00 coupon I got.

Madison was thrilled that we went to Build-A-Bear. She picked a pink unicorn and named her Unicornia. We then headed to the Disney Store to get some Handsomes. We have almost all of the Disney Princesses, but none of the Princes. The Disney Store had the Princes on sale today, so Madison picked Prince Phillip (Aurora's Prince) and Jocelyn picked Prince Li Shang (Mulan's Prince).

Jocelyn loves her new Blue Bear named Bluebeary.
When we left the mall, we headed across the street to the Christian bookstore. I found some great Thanksgiving things 90% off. Unfortunately the girls saw Toys R Us right next door, so we went in there just to look. It was a zoo. We stopped by McDonald's for lunch and spent some time playing at the huge Play Place before heading back on base. I took a wrong turn on the base and we ended up checking out a Mini Mall. I found some cool Air Force shirts for 75% off, so it was a good mistake. :) We ended our adventure with a Starbucks Apple Cider. We are now back at the hotel reading books and snuggling our new stuffed animals.

Fort Fun

After several days of rain, it was so nice to get outside and enjoy the beautiful Fall leaves and weather.

We took the girls to Fort Fun for the first time today.
We had a picnic lunch right along the James River.

Madison LOVES to swing!
