Last night the girls made a trap in hopes that they would catch a leprechaun this St. Patrick's Day. Uncle Kyle helped Madison design the trap this year. They decided to dig a hole in the yard and cover it with sticks, leaves and grass. Then put a trail of gold coins to lead the leprechaun to the trap.

Needless to say the girls were super excited to get dressed in their green this morning and check their leprechaun trap.

They were shocked when they came downstairs and discovered that the leprechaun had been in the school room. There were leprechaun footprints all over our tables and the room was a mess. It looks like that tricky little leprechaun snuck in our window.

The girls immediately ran outside to check their trap. Much to their surprise they found a leprechaun trapped inside. He even left them a message:
Hi, I'm Larry the Leprechaun! I left clues on shamrocks to lead you to my pot of gold. You will find the first shamrock hidden in the book you read to learn all about Saint Patrick.
Good Luck,
Larry the Leprechaun

They quickly found the first shamrock. It was so much fun listening to Madison read the clues this year.

I was hungry so I found a cold box filled with food. Luckily, there was something green for me to eat in the bottom door.

The girls found the shamrock attached to the Spinach in the refrigerator.

I found a small furry friend that was just my size. Check her cage to get one step closer to the prize.

They were happy to find Holly protecting the next clue.

Holly told me where you keep your coins, so go check it out if you want to get my gold coins.

They ran to their cash register and found their next clue hiding inside.

This is a small fortune compared to what is in the big brown box. Move quick as a fox.

They quickly ran to the big brown box that was shipped to our house yesterday thinking that the prize was inside, but after digging around all they found was another shamrock.

You may find more than gold,
because your other ones were getting old.
So take a look outside,
to find something brand new to ride.

The girls immediately ran outside and found their brand new bikes!

Jocelyn is ready to ride!

They were so excited and can't wait to start practicing for the
Trike-a-Thon.
