Oatmeal Dough Oo's!

Put 2 cups of oatmeal, 1 cup of flour, and 3/4 cups water in a bowl. Then knead it. Neither of the girls liked touching it with their hands.

Time to roll out our Oatmeal Dough.

Madison decided to use a cup to cut out circles of the Oatmeal Dough.

Here are our finished Oatmeal Dough Oo's. They will dry overnight and we will paint them tomorrow.

We couldn't have the oatmeal out and not make Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. YUMMY!

Octopus and Ocean

Jocelyn wanted to say her O Memory Verse for everyone today. Here she is...

Thanks Lord for being good. It is a good thing that the Lord is behaving. Too cute!

We added our O stamps, stencils, and rubbings to our "Super Stars" wall. (Our letter from Tristen is hanging on the red star. Thank you, Tristen!)

We played "Sound Scamper" today. The girls wanted to teach you how to play, so here is a video of them "Sound Scampering!"

We made and ate an M&M Graph today during math. YUMMY!

Today for lunch we had octopus with a side of ocean. The girls had a blast helping make octopus hot dogs and blue jello with gummy fish.

Oh Boy!

Today Jude came over while Nyx went to the dentist.

Madison couldn't wait to teach him about the letter O. They made orange Do-A-Dot Oo's and ate oranges for snack.

Jude and Madison were buddies today. He followed her around and did everything that she did.

Letter from Tristen!

Madison was SUPER EXCITED when we checked the mail today and found a letter from Tristen!
She couldn't wait to see what Tristen sent her.
(Jocelyn was taking a nap when we got the letter.)
Dear Madison and Jocelyn,
Thank you for the horse and the ladybug stuff! I miss you guys! I hope you're having fun in Virginia! Whatdo you like to do there? I like -->

to play out back in the woods. I have a walking stick I use. You're good friends because I like to pretend to marry you! I love you a lot! You're pretty and wonderful!
Love,
Tristen

What a sweet letter from Tristen!
Message from Madison:
Thank you so much, Tristen. I miss you guys too! I miss pretend marrying you. Give Butterscotch kisses for us. I like to play outside in our backyard in Virginia. I ride my bike and scooter. Come visit me.
Love,
Madison

O Week

Madison wanted to share our "Oo" Memory Verse with you.

"O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good." Psalm 118:1

After our phonics lesson today we practiced the letter O by sticking little Fruit Loop O's onto a Big O!

We got to eat the leftover Fruit Loop O's. YUMMY!

We made a family pictograph in math today. I loved Madison's drawings of us. Daddy has "stick up" hair.

Silly Mr. Lance

The girls and Jude rolled Mr. Lance down the hill.

Kid's Day at Fort Monroe

This morning we went to Fort Monroe for Kid's Day! We took Lance, Nyx, and Jude with us. We all had a great time!

The kids LOVED all of the bouncy houses.

The Virginia Living Museum was there to do a show and let the kids see some cool animals.

The girls got their faces painted. Madison got a purple and pink butterfly and Jocelyn got a ladybug.

They had several games for the kids to play. Madison picked a "Navy Duck" instead on an "Air Force Duck." :(

Time to fish like Granddaddy.

Hold on tight!

WHEE!!!

Can we ride it again?

Mr. Lance trapped the kids, while the adults finished eating lunch.

The kids tried to walk down the hill and...

ended up falling down the hill.

After lunch we watched the clown make balloon animals and HUGE bubbles.

We stopped by to say hi to the hockey mascot on the way to our car.
