Oceans and Octopops!

This week Madison will be reading Olive the Octopus's Day of Juggling to Jocelyn's preschool class. We made Oceans and Octopops for a special snack to eat after the story.

We made oceans using blue Jell-o and Swedish Fish.

We made octopops using orange juice and gummy worms.

The kids are going to LOVE eating these octopops!

Painting our Oatmeal Oo's

The girls went over to play with Nyx and Jude this morning so that I could run some errands. I am so grateful for babysitting swap. As much as the girls love going to Jude's house, they couldn't wait to get home and paint their Oatmeal Oo's.

We got them all set up to paint when they got home.
By the way, we finally got a table for the kitchen. Thank you, Grandma for finding this table for us at Target.com. It worked out perfect!

Jocelyn painted her Oo's blue and purple.

Madison painted her Oatmeal Tower pink, purple and yellow, so that it will match her bedroom.

Here are their finished Oatmeal projects.

I attempted to make a butterfly and ladybug for the girls out of the Oatmeal circles. They loved them!

Ever since we moved in Clay has wanted a swing for the covered patio outside. When he was at Lowe's the other day he saw that this swing was on clearance.

Madison helped Daddy put it together last night and hang it on the patio. Who wants to swing?

Oatmeal Dough Oo's!

Put 2 cups of oatmeal, 1 cup of flour, and 3/4 cups water in a bowl. Then knead it. Neither of the girls liked touching it with their hands.

Time to roll out our Oatmeal Dough.

Madison decided to use a cup to cut out circles of the Oatmeal Dough.

Here are our finished Oatmeal Dough Oo's. They will dry overnight and we will paint them tomorrow.

We couldn't have the oatmeal out and not make Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. YUMMY!

Octopus and Ocean

Jocelyn wanted to say her O Memory Verse for everyone today. Here she is...

Thanks Lord for being good. It is a good thing that the Lord is behaving. Too cute!

We added our O stamps, stencils, and rubbings to our "Super Stars" wall. (Our letter from Tristen is hanging on the red star. Thank you, Tristen!)

We played "Sound Scamper" today. The girls wanted to teach you how to play, so here is a video of them "Sound Scampering!"

We made and ate an M&M Graph today during math. YUMMY!

Today for lunch we had octopus with a side of ocean. The girls had a blast helping make octopus hot dogs and blue jello with gummy fish.

Oh Boy!

Today Jude came over while Nyx went to the dentist.

Madison couldn't wait to teach him about the letter O. They made orange Do-A-Dot Oo's and ate oranges for snack.

Jude and Madison were buddies today. He followed her around and did everything that she did.

O Week

Madison wanted to share our "Oo" Memory Verse with you.

"O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good." Psalm 118:1

After our phonics lesson today we practiced the letter O by sticking little Fruit Loop O's onto a Big O!

We got to eat the leftover Fruit Loop O's. YUMMY!

We made a family pictograph in math today. I loved Madison's drawings of us. Daddy has "stick up" hair.
