Downtown Hampton

This morning we went to check out Downtown Hampton.

Every Saturday they have a Farmer's Market. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the vendors. We bought some fresh bread for dinner.

The girls were so excited that the Carousel was open and ready to ride.

It is a beautiful wooden Carousel.

Grandma and Granddaddy enjoyed the rocking chairs and smoothie while the girls rode.

We then walked around Downtown Hampton and checked out the shops.

Many of the walls had murals painted on them.

Granddaddy being silly with the mural.

We were shocked to find a pear tree.

We visited the oldest church that was established in 1618.

The girls liked all of the statues. ;)

There were lots of them.

Madison enjoyed picking flowers during our walk.

Jocelyn decided to pick one too.

The bell tower.

The girls loved this mural because it had a picture of "Scrubs" in it. We miss that Dalmatian.

Grandma and her girls!

We finished with lunch outside at Marker 20.

Birthday Package from Grandma Cathy

The girls were very excited today when they found a birthday package from Grandma Cathy and Brittani Ann at our door. (Grandma Cathy is Jocelyn's birth grandmother and Brittani Ann is Jocelyn's half-sister.)
The package is as big as they are.
Jocelyn waited while Madison tried to get the gifts out of the BIG box.

Time for some teamwork.

Wow, what a nice card.

I love my card and new baby dolls.

All of the excitement wore Jocelyn out. She fell asleep on the couch.

Birthday with Grandma and Granddaddy!

Jocelyn was very excited to get a pink basketball and the whole set of Fairies for her birthday from Grandma and Granddaddy.

Madison loved her card.

Madison got a cool learning computer.

She started writing her letters immediately.

Her favorite was her collection of Princesses. Thank you Grandma and Granddaddy for all of the great birthday gifts.

We then took Granddaddy to the Bass Pro Shop so that he could use the gift card we sent him for his birthday. The girls love seeing all of the animals and the huge fish tank. Jocelyn and Clay had fun with the HUGE bear.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Jocelyn!

Today is Jocelyn's 3rd Birthday. She spent the day shopping with Grandma and Mommy. We went to dinner at Danny's Deli with Lance, Nyx, and Jude.

Jocelyn got a free piece of cheesecake since it was her birthday. YUMMY!

We were warned to keep our hands off her cheesecake!

Jocelyn and Jude share the same birthday. Jude turned 2!

He needed some help blowing out his candle.

We then came back to the house for gifts and another birthday dessert. Jocelyn chose ice cream cupcakes from Cold Stone Creamery for her birthday dessert.

Clay and Lance enjoyed their cupcakes a little too much.

Granddaddy wore his well.

This is the life!

It is good to be 3!

Grandma and Granddaddy Arrive!

We were so excited to go to the airport in Norfolk today to pick up Grandma and Granddaddy.

The girls made them a special banner that was hanging over their bed.

After dinner we went for a walk. The girls rode their bikes.

Well, Jocelyn tried.

We found a bunny resting in our front yard.

The clock/bell tower started ringing as we finished our walk.

Family Walk

Since we spent most of the day inside, except for a trip to the grocery store, we decided to take a family walk after dinner.

The weather up here is much nicer than Florida. It is hot here, but not TOO HOT!

We walked one block to get to the marina.

The girls were very excited to see a boy and girl duck sitting together.

We enjoyed walking around the water and checking out our new neighborhood.

Madison's legs got tired, so Daddy had to carry her home.

Jocelyn was a big girl and walked home all by herself. I can't believe she is going to be 3 years old on Thursday.

We (kinda) have wildlife!

This morning we were all getting ready to run some errands when we heard Jocelyn quacking at the back door. We finally went to see what she was doing and much to our surprise there was a duck at the back door.

He then went into the bushes to get away from us, so we went back inside to finish getting ready to go.

When we went to the front door to leave we found him standing there.

The girls were so excited that he came to visit us.

When we opened the door to go outside he walked down the steps and went into the grass. Madison named him "Azul" (the Spanish word for "blue") because he has a blue feather. If it had a pink feather the duck would be a girl.

We got a cracker and fed him while Jocelyn had a drink.

Then this afternoon a bunny came to visit us.

An action shot. She got scared by a car driving by and ran to the bushes.

She sat under the bush for a long time and then...

she decided to lay down and rest for a bit.
(The picture is fuzzy because I took it through the window/screen. I didn't want to disturb her.)
