Super Bowl Party

The girls and I invited Lance, Nyx and Jude over for a Super Bowl Party.

Madison was looking forward to dessert the most.

Madison helped me make some chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels.

We also made some Valentine's Day cupcakes. Madison decorated the cupcakes all by herself.

Jude was very excited to see all of the sweets on the dessert table.

Nyx let Jude eat a cupcake for dinner while the rest of us enjoyed the Mexican Feast that the girls and I had prepared. We had way too much food, so they are coming over to help us eat leftovers soon.

The girls and Mr. Lance had their own Super Bowl with the cute blow up footballs I found on clearance at Target. Great throw Madison! I hope Mr. Lance catches it!

Watch out, Mr. Lance! Jocelyn is coming in for the tackle!

Touchdown, Madison!!!!!!

Once the real Super Bowl started, the adults watched it in the living room while the kids played in the playroom. We asked Madison to watch Jude and let us know if he was getting into trouble or doing something he shouldn't be doing. Apparently I should have asked Madison to watch Jocelyn too. Because when I went through the kitchen to check on the kids, this is what I found...

Jocelyn decided to help herself to the chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels.

Watch out the chocolate monster is going to get you!

Lance, Nyx and Jude had to leave at halftime to put Jude to bed, but we had a fun party while it lasted.

Party Updates!

Well here they are, the adorable and tasty, lion cupcakes that I have been working on perfecting!

Tomorrow is PARTY day! We can't wait to celebrate the arrival of baby Isaac at the baby shower. Clay and I pray that someday we will be as blessed as John and Wendi to receive a beautiful baby boy into our family. Madison and Jocelyn definitely want a brother. The poor boy will have two extra mommies.

The girls and I spent the morning at Sam's Club picking up the cakes for the beach party tomorrow night. Both cakes turned out great!

After our trip to Sam's Club we went to Lisa's house to set up and decorate for the Baby Shower. I am not posting any pictures yet just in case Wendi checks the blog before tomorrow. By the way Wendi, it has been so much fun planning this baby shower for you and Isaac. Even though I had a little trouble with my cupcakes and ice ring it was well worth it. And just so you know I get to hold that handsome little boy tomorrow. I have been kind and let other people hold him the last few times, but I am taking a turn tomorrow. I hope he doesn't mind. He needs to learn that I am his other mommy since Madison has claimed him as her brother already. Jocelyn I think would prefer to call Scrubs her brother. I don't mind taking co-ownership of both of them.

PRINCESS PIZZA PARTY AT THE PLAYGROUND invitations went out in mail. Madison also worked very hard on painting the flower pots that will be used as table decorations and party favors for the adults. I was amazed that she sat and painted all of them. Jocelyn even helped out a little. She did not have nearly as much patience and perseverance as Madison did. I told Madison that she did not have to paint them all in one day, but once she got started she just couldn't stop. We haven't decided if we want to make paper flowers to put in the pots or plant real flowers in them.

Great job, Madison!

Guest Room turned Party Storage!

Our guest bedroom has been transformed into party storage for four parties coming up.

On Saturday is a baby shower for Wendi and Baby Isaac. It is a jungle theme shower. I am having trouble with my cupcakes. I have tried two batches so far. Clay and the girls are happy that I keep practicing. They enjoy eating the rejects. Hopefully I will perfect them by the end of the week. If anyone wants some cupcakes we have plenty of rejects to eat!

I am also having trouble with the ice ring for Saturday. I am attempting to make an ice ring with jungle animals in it. My first two attempts were with ginger ale, which did not work at all. There were too many bubbles that you couldn't see the animals. I am currently trying it in water. At least I have a few more days to get it right.

Saturday after the baby shower our caregroup will be meeting for a beach party. The party is a welcome home party for Danny and a going away party for the Sevdy family. As you can tell from the pictures we are going with an Americana Theme.

Next Wednesday night we will be having a graduation party for the Bailey boys. Congratulations Jared and Caleb!

Don't worry Madison and Jocelyn I haven't forgotten about your Princess Pizza Party at the Playground on June 21st. I am looking forward to posting pictures from all of these events soon. Right now I am just busy planning, organizing, cooking, and decorating.
