Yummy Apples!

Jocelyn is working on the letter A this week, so we decided to make...

an apple pie and...

some homemade applesauce!

4 apples (peeled and sliced)
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
Put all of the ingredients in a saucepan. Cover and cook on medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool, then mash.

Alligator Skin

For the last few weeks, Madison has been going in one afternoon a week to read to Jocelyn's preschool class. All of the kids LOVE it! Madison reads them a story related to the "letter of the week." This week the letter is A, so she is reading them The Adventures of Abby Alligator. Madison also made a special Alligator Skin snack to take in for the kids to eat after she reads them the book.

Alligator Skin:
(Green Cornflake Crispy Treats)

6 cups of Cornflakes
1 bag of Marshmallows
3 tablespoons of butter
Green food coloring

Heat marshmallows and butter in the microwave for 3 minutes. Stir it after 2 minutes. Add the green food coloring and cornflakes. Then mix well.

Astronaut Pudding

Since it is "A Week," we decided to make some Astronaut Pudding.

All you need to make Astronaut Pudding is:
Ziploc bag
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp. of instant pudding
Put the milk and pudding into the Ziploc bag and let the kids squish it around.

Once the Astronaut Pudding is mixed, cut the corner of the bag off and squeeze it into their mouth.

YUMMY!
(The funny thing is that Madison ALWAYS eats only vanilla ice cream and Jocelyn prefers chocolate ice cream, so I am not sure why they picked the opposite pudding flavors.)

Here is a video of our Astronaut Pudding FUN!
