Birthday Surprise from Aunt Wendy & Uncle Donn

Jocelyn was super excited to get a birthday surprise in the mail today from Aunt Wendy and Uncle Donn.

Jocelyn was kind enough to share her cool new fans with Madison since she got two of them.

FAN FUN!

Thank you so much Aunt Wendy and Uncle Donn! Jocelyn LOVES her new fans. The girls have been playing with them all afternoon. They even took their fans to the grocery store with us tonight.

Our Day with Nana and Pop!

Nana and Pop took us to the Cinema Cafe today to eat lunch and watch "Despicable Me."

We really enjoyed the movie, especially since it was in 3-D.

After the movie we took Nana and Pop to the Bluebird Gap Farm.

We had FUN walking around and looking at all of the animals.

The girls even got to feed a few geese!

Fort Monroe with Nana and Pop!

Nana and Pop arrived today for a short visit. The girls couldn't wait to show them the special banner they made for them.

After dinner we drove over to Fort Monroe to see where Nana and Pop were staying. The girls had fun looking at all of the old cannons with Daddy and Pop.

Fort Monroe is a beautiful base filled with lots of amazing old buildings like this lighthouse.

Peach Cobbler

The girls and I headed to Wood's Orchard to get some more peaches to make PEACH COBBLER!

First, we peeled and sliced 4+ cups of peaches.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the peaches, 1 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Put 1 stick of butter (8 tablespoons) in a 3-quart baking dish and place in the oven to melt the butter.

Mix 1 cup of sugar, 1 1/2 cup self-rising flour and 1 1/2 cup milk slowly to prevent clumping.

Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle top with ground cinnamon.

Batter will rise to top during baking. Bake for 30-45 minutes.

Serve with your choice of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and ENJOY.
It is so YUMMY!

Golfing Girls!

Since the girls really enjoyed golfing earlier this week, Clay took them to Golf Galaxy yesterday and got them their own clubs.

Madison made her Daddy's day when she asked him on the way home from church if ..."we could go golfing this afternoon?"

The girls are ready to go try out their new pink golf clubs!

Madison carried the golf bag to the car, while Jocelyn supervised.

Unfortunately the girls fell asleep in the car on the way to the driving range, so I sat in the car with the girls while Clay hit a bucket of golf balls.

Luckily after a short nap in the car the girls woke up happy and ready to golf!

Daddy gave them each a quick lesson with their new clubs.

They both hit the ball much better with their own clubs.

Time to head home for dinner. Oops...the clubs are falling out of the bag. ;)

Bowling with Daddy!

Today we took the girls to the Langley Bowling Center. It has been closed for renovations, but reopened yesterday.

Madison wanted to model her cool bowling shoes.

Time to find the perfect bowling ball.

Madison is a serious bowler.

She was SO EXCITED when she knocked the pins down!

Daddy and Jocelyn waiting for their turn.

Jocelyn had her own special way of bowling.

It took Jocelyn's ball forever to get down the lane. ;)

Our final scores!
