Trike-A-Thon!

Today the girls' preschool class had a Trike-A-Thon! The girls collected $200.00 in donations for the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Thank you to everyone that made a donation.

The kids are all ready to get their bikes.

Madison is ready to ride!

It was a cold and rainy day here today, so the Trike-A-Thon was moved inside. Each high school helper was paired up with a preschooler to help them take their bikes to the auto shop for the indoor Trike-A-Thon.

All of the kids are at the starting line and listening to the rules and learning what the flags mean.

Jocelyn was the first one off the starting line looking very serious.

Madison was all smiles as she weaved around other bikers.

Jocelyn kept watching her feet, we were all afraid that she was going to run into something or someone.

I took this picture right before the boys accidentally sandwiched Jocelyn and knocked her right off her tricycle. She cried, but I was right there to scoop her up and make it better. She got right back on her tricycle and the crowd went wild chanting and cheering for her.

Early Easter Baskets

The girls were so surprised today when the afternoon bus drivers (Ms. O and Ms. T) gave them Easter baskets. Our bus drivers are the BEST!

The girls were so excited to see all of the cool things inside the Easter baskets.

Thank you so much Ms. O and Ms. T for the amazing Easter baskets. The girls absolutely love them! Jocelyn immediately started eating all of the candy and Madison went to draw a picture with the really cool animal shaped crayons.

Easter Crafts

Even though the girls and I won't be in town for Easter, we wanted to give some Easter treats to the girls' teachers, bus drivers and classmates.

Each of the girls' classmates will get a cute Easter book and a carrot filled with jelly beans. We will also give the jelly been carrots to all of the high school helpers. We made the cute little Easter Bunny pots for all of the teachers and bus drivers.

The Bunny wanted to get his picture taken next to all of the beautiful spring flowers that are blooming in our yard.

Our Easter Bunny even has a big cottontail on the back side of his pot.

Early Easter with Jude!

Since we will be out of town this Easter we invited Jude and Mrs. Nyx over for dinner tonight. Poor Mr. Lance was sick so he stayed home and rested.

After dinner we went for a walk.

It was such a beautiful night down by the water.

Jude wanted a turn on Madison's bicycle.

Then Jude wanted to pull the wagon.

Flowers for Mommy!

Jocelyn decided to go around the yard this morning and pick flowers for Mommy.

Lipstick Madison

I bought a new lipstick pencil and before I could put it in my make-up bag, Madison decided to put some lipstick on all by herself. She immediately went to the mirror to check herself out. I must admit that she did a much better job applying the lipstick this time than she did the first time she got into Mommy's make-up. Click here to see the first time Madison applied lipstick. Halfway There!

Today marks the halfway point of Clay's deployment. This means that we have survived 90 days of Clay's 180 day deployment! We are still being told that his deployment most likely will be longer than the standard 180 days, but at least we have survived 90 days of it! We are expecting Clay home sometime in July. His deployment is going well, however the PA that deployed with Clay is leaving soon which means that Clay will be the only doctor and will be on call 24/7 throughout the remainder of his deployment.
