National Zoo

Today we went to the National Zoo.

We had fun at the zoo even though it was very cold and windy.

We were thrilled to see the Red Panda.

Lots of the animals weren't outside because it was so cold.

We enjoyed our week in Washington DC.  We are so proud of Clay for being one of the very few people selected to interview for the White House physician position.  Although he did not get the position, we know that God is in control and has big plans for us as we move to Moody AFB in the next few weeks.   

More fun in Washington DC

This afternoon we hopped on the Metro and...

went to the Natural History Museum.

Our first stop was the DINOSAUR exhibit!

 Madison named every dinosaur we saw.

 The girls loved seeing the dinosaurs!

 We also stopped to see the Hope Diamond before we left.

Then we headed to Union Station for dinner and dessert.

The girls enjoyed seeing the replica of the Liberty Bell, since they have seen the real one in Philadelphia.

After dinner, we walked to the Capital.

Playing Around

The girls did school in the hotel room and then we went outside to play on the playground.

Washington DC

Today we drove to Washington DC.

The girls were excited to see the White House.

Home Again

The girls and I made the long drive back home to Virginia.  Only to find...

that the wind completely blew over our two storage units that were against the brick wall.  We also discovered water all over the floor in our downstairs bathroom.  What a mess!

Madison Lost her 7th Tooth!

Madison had me pull out her 7th tooth after dinner tonight.  It was definitely ready to come out.  She put her tooth in my old tooth pillow and was excited to find $2.00 in it the next morning.  

Garage Sale

This week, we cleaned out Grandma and Granddaddy's house and Mamaw's house.  We are making room for Mamaw to move back into the apartment at Grandma and Granddaddy's house.  

We had a Garage Sale on Friday and Saturday to sell several of the items.

We had tons of stuff to sell.  

On Friday, the girls sold 6 dozen cookies.  

Saturday was much colder, so they sold cookies, hot chocolate and hot tea.
