National Zoo

Today we went to the National Zoo.

We had fun at the zoo even though it was very cold and windy.

We were thrilled to see the Red Panda.

Lots of the animals weren't outside because it was so cold.

The girls love pandas!

Madison even found a dinosaur at the zoo!

We enjoyed our week in Washington DC.  We are so proud of Clay for being one of the very few people selected to interview for the White House physician position.  Although he did not get the position, we know that God is in control and has big plans for us as we move to Moody AFB in the next few weeks.

More fun in Washington DC

This afternoon we hopped on the Metro and...

went to the Natural History Museum.

Our first stop was the DINOSAUR exhibit!

Madison named every dinosaur we saw.

The girls loved seeing the dinosaurs!

We also stopped to see the Hope Diamond before we left.

Then we headed to Union Station for dinner and dessert.

The girls enjoyed seeing the replica of the Liberty Bell, since they have seen the real one in Philadelphia.

After dinner, we walked to the Capital.

Washington DC

Today we drove to Washington DC.

The girls were excited to see the White House.

Mommy and her girls in front of the White House.

Daddy and his girls in front of the Executive Office Building.

The Washington Monument was Madison's favorite, because it looked like a pencil.

The girls in front of the Washington Monument.

Silly Daddy holding the Washington Monument.

The girls at the Lincoln Memorial.  This was Jocelyn's favorite, because it is on the penny.

What a beautiful day in Washington DC!

Museum of Natural History

We headed back into Washington DC to take the girls to the Museum of Natural History.

They were amazed at how BIG everything was.

They LOVED the dinosaur exhibit.

Madison was hoping to find a Myosaurus, but unfortunately they didn't have one in the exhibit.

Daddy what is this one called?

The girls loved the Children's hands-on room. Madison got to read an x-ray just like Daddy.

Magnified Madison!

Our little scientist.

Jocelyn fell in love with this little stuffed mink. She gave him hugs and kisses and desperately wanted to take him home.

Jocelyn was styling in Mommy's sunglasses as we walked around Washington DC to see the monuments during the day.

Washington DC at Night

We hopped on the Metro and headed to DC for the night.

Jocelyn couldn't believe there were two of her in this picture.
I don't know that I could handle having two Jocelyn's. ;)

It was a beautiful night to walk DC and look at the monuments.

Madison gave the HUGE column a HUG!

The girls liked the dog best.

The girls chilling and watching the waterfall.

They decided to join the line.
