Top 12 of 2012

If you just got our Christmas card and are stopping by the blog to get an update on our family, I thought I would post the top 12 highlights of our 2012.

At the beginning of the year, my grandfather, Robert Poffenbarger passed away.  But in March, we got to celebrate, Clay's grandmother's 90th Birthday!

Then we got to spent a week in Las Vegas!

We even took a family trip to see the Grand Canyon!

The following month, we spent several weeks in Arizona!

In May, Clay got promoted to Major!

In June, we celebrated Madison's 7th Birthday with a Dinosaur Party!

In July, we celebrated Jocelyn's 6th Birthday with a Pool Party!

Clay spent several months in Japan with his squadron!

The girls and I spent that time in Florida with Grandma and Granddaddy.  We took the girls on their first cruise!

In November, we welcomed Daddy home from his deployment!

Granddaddy was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, but had surgery and is now cancer free!

The biggest news is that we will be moving to Valdosta, Georgia, in the Spring!

It looks like 2013 will be full of new adventures.

Triceratops

This week's episode of Mondays with Madison is about Triceratops!

Madison just finished reading Dinosaur Cove Charge of the Triceratops.  This is her new favorite series of books.  

She hopes you enjoy learning facts about the Triceratops.

Jet Photos

Last weekend, we got to go on base and take pictures with the jet.  The girls and I enjoyed getting to see the jet up close.  Not many people get to sit inside this jet, so we were happy we got the opportunity.  

Dog Presentation

Jocelyn fell in love with Uncle Mark's dog, Snickers.  She even got to babysit Snickers while they were visiting.

Jocelyn wanted to do her presentation on how to take care of a dog, because someday she wants a dog just like Snickers.  Her stuffed animal dog, Pupcake will have to do for now.  ;)

Celebration in Lights

Tonight we went to the Celebration in Lights!

 

We are trying to enjoy our last Christmas season here in Newport News, Virginia.

The girls loved driving through and looking at all the Christmas Lights!

Mondays with Madison

Madison is excited about her first episode of Mondays with Madison.


Today Madison will teach you about dinosaurs, fossils and the time periods in which dinosaurs lived.  

Pictures with the Planes

 Today we got our pictures taken with the planes on base.   The girls and I were excited to sit in the planes and get to see them up close.  We should be getting the pictures in a few weeks.  We can't wait to see how they turn out.
