Grammar Time!

Madison wanted to make a video to show everyone what she is doing in grammar this year. The question answer flow and grammar jingles that we have been using with Shurley Grammar have definitely helped her learn the parts of speech.

X-Ray

Jocelyn struggles with constipation, so we are consulting with a GI specialist. The first thing he wanted us to do was a three day clean out. Unfortunately, we were evacuated for Hurricane Irene and then when we returned home we did not have power for a week. So for the last three days Jocelyn has started each morning with an enema, then drank 4 doses of Miralax throughout the day and eaten a chocolate ex-lax in the evening. Needless to say we spent most of our Labor Day weekend at home close to the potty. ;)

Today Jocelyn went in for her x-ray!
We are praying that the doctors figure out what is going on with her little system.

Silly String Again!

Click here to see the post and video of our fun playing with Silly String almost 2 years ago.

Jocelyn was excited to do it again.

Madison and Daddy ganged up on me.

Oh no, here comes Jocelyn!

Beads, Buttons, & Balloons!

Jocelyn is working on the letter B, so she made some bead and button B's!

The girls enjoyed playing Balloon Bop for recess!
All you need are two chairs, a mop, and a balloon to play at your house. ;)

The girls couldn't wait to use our new Double Dice.

The girls played Dice in Dice at Math Center today. They rolled one of the double dice and added the two numbers together.

Life without Lights!

Life was a little challenging this week without power, but we are happy to report that we have power again!

The girls enjoyed using flashlights and candles every night though.

Snuggles by candlelight were the best!

Homeschooling without Power!

Homeschooling looked a little different this week, since we didn't have any power. We made the best of it and enjoyed some natural light and the great outdoors.
