White Chocolate Bread Pudding

My Dad LOVES bread pudding! So when I saw a friend post this recipe on Facebook, I decided to give it a try and make it for my dad while he is here.

Ingredients:

6 cups French bread cubes

1 package (6 oz) white chocolate baking bar chopped (OR 1 cup vanilla baking chips)

1 cup fat-free egg product (OR 1 cup of eggs beaten)

3/4 c. warm water

1 t. vanilla

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated)

1. Spray inside of 3-4 quart cooker with cooking spray. Place bread cubes in slow cooker. Sprinkle with baking chips.

2. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients; pour over bread cubes and baking chips.

3. Cover and cook on low heat setting 3 hours and 30 minutes to 4 hours or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm.

Banner for Granddaddy!

Granddaddy (my dad) called a couple of weeks ago and said that he was going to fly up to spend a few days with us. The girls and I have been counting down the days until Granddaddy's arrival.

Today we decided to make a "Welcome Granddaddy" banner. Madison did an awesome job using the dot markers to write the words on the banner.

Jocelyn drew a picture of Granddaddy on the banner.
(Look at that concentration.)

Madison drew a picture of all of us fishing, since fishing is one of Granddaddy's favorite things. She even drew a BIG fish in Granddaddy's hand. ;)

The finished "Welcome Granddaddy" banner!

The girls and I can't wait to go pick Granddaddy up from the airport tomorrow and show him the banner we made for him.

Madison's Birthday Wish List

Madison is very excited about her upcoming birthday. It isn't until the end of June, but she knows that Daddy will be coming home shortly after her birthday, so she is doing everything she can to speed up her birthday this year. This morning she decided to write out her birthday wish list. I am sure that this will be a growing list. ;)

She wrote her name on top, so that I would know that it was for her and not for Jocelyn.
The first item on her list says Barbies, but according to her this means she wants a Barbie dollhouse and anything else Barbie. She also really wants a Princess Tiana Dress-Up. The next two items on her list are an Ariel and Handsome, which means that she wants an Ariel Princess Doll and Prince Eric Doll. She saw one at the Disney Store of them in their wedding clothes. She loves Zhu Zhu pets, so her last two items are a Zhu Zhu DSi game and a double stroller for her Zhu Zhu babies. She put little circles with checkmarks beside each item. Too cute! I love my little list maker and can't wait to see what she actually gets for her birthday. But I know that the BEST birthday gift of all will be having Daddy come home!

Smiles

The girls had their six month cleaning last week at Kool Smiles. They both had a great check-up with NO CAVITIES!

This week at school they are talking all about teeth!

Jocelyn has just recently started writing her own name without any help.

Jocelyn's BIG SMILE and BIG NAME!

We also made some APPLE SMILES for snacks this week!

Peek-A-Boo with "Bert"ney!

Lance is at the Family Medicine Conference in New Orleans all week, so the girls and I had dinner with Nyx and Jude.

Jude was playing peek-a-boo with me between his easel. He has trouble saying Mrs. Brittney so he calls me "Bert"ney! ;)

Rose Dough

Since several of our beautiful roses that Daddy sent us for Valentine's Day were starting to die, we decided to use them to make some Rose Dough to play with this afternoon.

To make Rose Dough you put 3 cups of rose petals in a food processor and chop them up finely.

Then add 1 3/4 cups flour and 1/4 cup salt.

Slowly add in some water as you mix it.

The girls loved getting to press the button on the food processor.

Jocelyn couldn't wait to play with the Rose Dough.

Madison wanted me to add some red food coloring to her Rose Dough.

Madison made a Mommy and Baby Shark with her (red) Rose Dough.

Our finished Rose Dough projects with our roses from Daddy.

I surprised the girls with new pajamas for next winter. They immediately tried some of them on and modeled them in the picture with the others.

I bought 10 pairs of winter pajamas, 3 pairs of mittens and a brown winter coat for next year at Kohl's for 90% off. My total was right around $30.00, with a savings of $298.00!

This afternoon the girls and I were playing hide and go seek and Jocelyn decided to roll herself up in the rug for her hiding spot. ;)

Valentine Treats from Friends

The girls were so excited when we found a box from friends at our front door this afternoon.

They couldn't wait to see what was inside.
(I love how this picture shows Madison tossing the newspaper in the air to get to the gifts.)

They are all ready to open their goodies.

Pajama Jocelyn with her beautiful flower!

We all loved these cute Valentine necklaces that they made for us. Jocelyn thought it was so cool that she had a ladybug on her necklace.

The cute boxes of chocolate!

Madison loves her special heart shaped box that the boys painted and decorated for her.

We each got a special box that was painted and decorated to match our bedrooms. I think it is funny that the girls initials are Mr. and Jr. ;)

Jocelyn was more excited about all of the candy she found inside her box.

Madison was dancing around in excitement when she opened her new Princess dress-up dress.

Princess Jocelyn!

Princess Madison!

Thank you so much Mr. Danny, Mrs. Megan, Tristen, Jeren, Desmond and Kerra. What a sweet Valentine's Day surprise. We loved everything, but we love you more!
