Happy Fourth of July!

This evening we headed to Newport News to watch the fireworks on the James River. (Fireworks are illegal here in Hampton.)

Lance, Nyx and Jude came with us for a little bit, but left before the fireworks started.

The girls were very excited that they were next to enter the bouncy house.

Look how well they are listening to the man explaining the rules for the bouncy house. I wish they would listen to me that well. :)

Madison broke the rules and slid down the slide on her tummy. What a little dare devil.

Jocelyn finally tried the slide and liked it.

The kids had a great time wrestling and playing with Mr. Lance while Daddy got us dinner.

Madison decided to chill out and drink her cuppy. Not the most modest position.

Daddy gave them ring pops as a special treat after dinner.

Time for the fireworks!
Jocelyn watched in amazement as she waved her American flag.

Madison sat in Daddy's lap and was surprised and excited by every firework. She said it was the best day ever and we should tell everybody to come watch the fireworks.

Happy Fourth of July!

Unpacking

I didn't have a whole lot of time today to take pictures since we have been busy unpacking.
I may have to get a table soon so that I can unpack these boxes. :)
Our cable and Internet were connected today and our new refrigerator was delivered. I can't do laundry yet though. The plug on the dryer is different than the outlet on the wall. :(

Moving Day

The movers were suppose to get here at 7:00 am, but unfortunately they did not show up until almost 11:00 am. The driver of the moving truck had spent the night in Virginia Beach, but when he woke up to drive through the tunnel to get here, he discovered that the tunnel was closed because it was flooded from a bad thunderstorm the night before. Needless to say he was stuck in horrible traffic and had to make his way to the other tunnel to get to us.

The girls decided to pass the time by playing with sidewalk chalk.

Bricks are fun to color!

Madison collected leaves that had fallen during the storm and became a "Leaf Princess."

The movers did a good job once they arrived. The only thing that was broken was our trash can. It was dented in and you can't close the lid. I was very sad though that they could not get our headboard up to the Master Bedroom. The headboard was too big and the stairs were to narrow. Needless to say our bed is laying on the floor for now.

We made it...

to Virginia and our new home!

Madison was so excited to be out of the car and be at our new house in Virginia.

Come on and open the door already. She couldn't wait to see her new room and check out the house.

Time to unload the truck.

We got to the house at 9:00 am, but had to run over to the realtor's office to get the keys. We got back to the house around 10:00 am and began unloading the truck. We got everything unloaded and returned the truck. The only disappointment was that the house had not been cleaned before we arrived. I stayed up late our first night vacuuming and cleaning, so that the house would be ready for the movers to come in and place the furniture.
