House Hunting

We met with the realtor at 10:00 today to look at the house that my dad and I looked at during our last visit. Since Clay was not familiar with the area, we decided to print out some other listings and drive around to check them out. We spent the day driving to Yorktown, Newport News, Pheobus and other neighborhoods in Hampton. Clay quickly realized that anything in Yorktown, Newport News or Pheobus was just too far away from the base. After a long day of house hunting, we met Lance, Nyx and Jude for dinner at Jason's Deli. They got into town yesterday around 3:30. They have a full day of house hunting lined up for tomorrow.

We are in Virginia

Well, we finally made it! We left our house on Friday around 3:00 and made it to Brunswick, GA that night. We then woke up Saturday and were on the road by 8:30. We finally arrived in Hampton, VA around 5:30. Since it has been a long two days in the car, we went to the outdoor mall to walk around and have some dinner and ice cream. The girls did amazingly well during the long car ride.

Today we are meeting with the realtor to look at the house that my dad and I found during our last visit to Virginia. Please pray that God would give us a clear direction about our housing here in Virginia.

Madison's School Birthday Party!

Today we celebrated Madison's birthday at school, since she has a summer birthday.

We ordered this double cookie cake from Sam's Club.

Happy Early 4th Birthday, Madison!

She enjoyed passing out the plates and napkins to all of her friends.

Mrs. Hunter let her play with the special "Happy Birthday" singing cake!

Time to eat the cookie cake!

Water Day

Today was "Water Day" at school.
Madison LOVED playing in the pool with her friends.
What fun running through the sprinklers.

Madison was very excited to find out that each kid got to take a beach ball home.

Madison's PreK Graduation

This evening was Madison's PreK Graduation!

I think it is time to go graduate.
Madison waved to us the entire time that they were entering the graduation. It was very sweet!
Madison with some of her classmates getting ready to sing.
Madison won the "Best Singer Award!"

Great Job, Madison!

Madison was so happy that Gammy and PapPaw could come to her graduation. They were so sweet and brought her these beautiful flowers. As soon as we got home she put them in her bedroom.

Gammy and PapPaw are the BEST!

Madison was excited to find a special graduation gift for her from Mommy, Daddy, and Jocelyn when we got home.

Madison got several new Barbie DVDs.
We are hoping that they will help make the long drive to Virginia a little better.

He's back.....

About 10 months ago we found a baby turtle in the backyard.
(Click on the "baby turtle" link to see the original blog about finding him.)

We were very surprised to find him right outside the front door this morning.

Madison was so happy that he decided to come back and visit us before we moved to Virginia.

He happily walked off into the bushes after his visit.
