Road Trip

Clay and I celebrated our 11th anniversary with a road trip to Valdosta, Georgia.  We spent the day checking out the area and looking for houses.  We are all looking forward to our upcoming move.

Today we finished the long drive home to Virginia and we stopped at South of the Border for the first time.

Mamaw and Papaw

Yesterday afternoon we went over to Mamaw and Papaw's for Christmas.  Mamaw loves reading, so each of the girls got a new set of books to read.

We were sad when we got a call this morning telling us that Papaw had a hemorrhagic stroke.  Please keep him and Mamaw in your prayers.  We know that God is in control and are praying for wisdom with decisions that need to be made.

Christmas 2012

This year the girls got a special visit from Santa Steve!

Scary Larry the Christmas Elf with Santa Steve!

The girls loved the horse stable and horses that Santa Steve delivered to them.

We enjoyed opening our stockings and eating Grandma's coffee cakes.

Madison built a fort with her gifts.

Jocelyn's fort of gifts.

Madison bought Granddaddy a Christmas mug and Grandma a dinosaur puzzle.

Grandma really liked the Christmas mug that Jocelyn bought her.

Jocelyn bought Granddaddy a snowman puzzle and nickel collection.

Uncle Kyle bought the girls horses and riders to...

go with their new horse stable.

Jocelyn bought Uncle Kyle a musical tie.

Madison bought Uncle Kyle baseball and soccer ball luggage tags because he has to travel for work.

The girls loved all of their gifts from Grandma and Granddaddy, but they thought this Barbie golf cart was pretty cool.  They love riding on Grandma and Granddaddy's golf cart when we are here in Florida.

Grandma liked all of her gifts from Hawaii, Japan, and her scarf jewelry that we got her.

My sweet brother got me my favorite coffee, a travel mug and some new sheets.

Uncle Kyle with all of his gifts from us.
It is so great getting to celebrate with all of our family.

Christmas Eve

The girls are ready to celebrate Christmas Eve with our traditional BBQ lunch.

This year we got to celebrate with my cousin's son Tristan.

He was so excited to open his gift.

He wasn't so sure once he was on it.

The girls got stockings filled with goodies.

Then we got dressed up to go to Nana and Pop's for Christmas Eve dinner.

Nana and Pop with the girls!

Mimi and the girls!

After a delicious turkey dinner, we were ready to open Christmas gifts.

Madison bought Pop a new travel mug with our F-22 pictures on it.

Jocelyn bought Pop a musical Santa tie.

Madison knows that Nana collects Santas, so she bought her a Santa mug and star.

Jocelyn bought Nana a picture frame.

Everyone loved the bag that Jocelyn decorated for Mimi's gift because it had a picture of Mimi with her walker.  ;)

Jocelyn bought Mimi a Christmas decoration for her door.

Madison got Mimi a snowman coffee mug.

Mimi couldn't believe we found her a Mimi Tervis Tumbler.

Jocelyn loved getting Stompeez from Nana and Pop.  The girls were thrilled with all their gifts.  The best part was being together with our family though.  We are all looking forward to moving closer, so that we can see each other more often.

The girls also got more Target gift cards from Aunt Wendy, Uncle Donn, Aunt Nelda, Uncle Guy, Mia and Blayke.  They are looking forward to doing some after Christmas shopping at Target.

Early Christmas

Tonight we celebrated an early Christmas as an immediate family.  We will be traveling down to Florida for Christmas, but didn't want to take all of the gifts down, just to turn around and drive them back here.

The girls didn't mind opening their gifts early.

The girls loved all of their gifts from Mommy and Daddy!

This year the girls bought each other gifts with their own money.  They did a great job picking out something that the other one would like.

The girls also bought gifts for family members with their own money.  They each decorated their own Christmas bags to wrap them in.

Jocelyn bought Daddy a musical Christmas tie!

Madison bought Daddy a family picture frame for his office.

The girls also got Daddy the game Battleship.

The girls got me Jenga.  They know how much we love playing games as a family.

The girls made birthday cakes for Jesus for our early Christmas dessert.  YUMMY!
