Early Birthdays!

Today we took Nana and Pop to the Cinema Cafe to watch Kung Fu Panda 2.

After the movie, we went back to Nana and Pop's hotel. They are staying at the Crowne Plaza in Downtown Hampton.

Clay and the girls decided to go for a swim in the rooftop pool. The rain clouds began to roll in, so we headed back to our house for a delicious steak dinner. After dinner we celebrated Pop's, Jocelyn's, and Daddy's early birthdays. Here is a video of us singing to them:

How old is Pop going to be?!?

Happy early 5th birthday!

Jocelyn got a Target gift card from Mimi. She is looking forward to going shopping.

Jocelyn got a Target gift card and magnetic pattern block sets from Nana and Pop.
Clay liked his singing birthday candle and the yummy banana bread pudding!

Clay got a sweater vest and shirt from his parents for his birthday.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to our wonderful Daddy! We enjoyed getting to celebrate this special day with him this year. We missed him terribly last year when he was deployed.

We spent the morning at church and then came home to have some lunch. Nana and Pop arrived shortly after lunch. We spent some time with them before they went to check into their hotel. Clay enjoyed an afternoon nap and some golf, before we all headed to dinner at Surf Riders. After dinner we headed back to the house for gifts.

The girls are excited to have Nana and Pop here for a short visit.

We got Nana a Cricut for her retirement gift. She taught for 33 years. Nana was kind enough to bring us a lot of her classroom supplies, so that we can use them for homeschooling.

We not only get to celebrate Father's Day with Pop, but also his early birthday.

Pop enjoyed his new hat, USAF golf club cover and a gift card to Olive Garden, but I think he liked snuggles from the girls best of all.

Time to give Daddy his Father's Day gifts. He recently taught the girls how to thumb wrestle, so we couldn't resist getting him these thumb wrestling characters. ;)

We also got Daddy a new iPod alarm clock. The girls love to snuggle in our bed and listen to worship music before we read our bible story and tuck them in their own beds at night.

We also got Daddy some itunes gift cards so that he can buy some more worship music.

Thank you Lord for blessing our family with an amazing father. We also thank you for Granddaddy, Pop, Great Grandpa, and PapPaw.

Daddy's Little Girl!

Last night while Clay was tucking Jocelyn into bed, he told her how thankful he is to the Lord for allowing him to be her father. They had a very sweet little conversation about her adoption. The older she gets, the more she is understanding and asking questions. We just pray that God will give us the answers to help her understand the amazing plan He has for her life and how much she is loved by our family and her birth family.

Celebration Saturday!

Today Clay's nurse hosted a going away party for him. We had a wonderful afternoon together enjoying good food, friends, and fellowship. Although they are sad to see Clay leave the Family Medicine group, we are all excited about him crossing over to Flight Medicine.

Nurse Meadows is very artistic and made this gorgeous gift for Clay. It says:
"If I go up to the heavens, You are there,
If I make my bed in the depths, You are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn.
If I settle on the far side of the sea even there Your hand will guide me
Your right hand will hold me fast."
Psalms 139:8-10

Nurse Meadows also made these cute rocks for all of the girls.

Madison can't wait to find a place in our garden for her special rock.

We are all going to miss getting to see Nurse Meadows when we visit Daddy at work.

We also got to visit the Osage Farm which is right down the street from Nurse Meadow's house.

The kids loved seeing all of the cool animals.

The kids enjoyed feeding them all.

They all loved getting to see the baby chickens.

Jocelyn got to pet it.

Before we left, we got to buy some honey that he had harvested this morning along with some tomatoes and fresh cut flowers. We are looking forward to going back soon.

Then we headed to Miss Shayla's graduation pool party. We are so proud of her. She graduated with Highest Honors last night from Kecoughtan High School.

The girls loved swimming in her uncle's saltwater pool.

Madison rode the pony everywhere.

The girls made a new friend named Tiffany Ann. She is the sweetest little dog and would have sat in their laps all day long.

We love Grandma and Granddaddy!

Today we had to take Grandma and Granddaddy back to the airport to fly home to Florida. We were very sad to see them go, but we had an amazing visit with them. What a fun week it has been. We are looking forward to our next time together.

Today we took Granddaddy fishing at the Sandy Bottom Fishing Pier.

Granddaddy taught Jocelyn how to fish.

Madison gave Grandma some snuggles while she waited for her turn to fish with Granddaddy.

Grandma got some Jocelyn snuggles.

Madison really enjoys fishing just like her Granddaddy.

After a picnic lunch, we rented a boat and went out on the water for an hour. Then we cooled off with some frozen yogurt at Love in a Cup, before taking the girls to the splash pad.
