Bad Baxter

Grandma just asked me last week, "if Baxter had discovered toilet paper?"  He did tonight...

He also discovered underwear.  Jocelyn left her dirty clothes on the floor instead of putting them down the laundry chute and the next thing we know he chewed a hole right through her underwear.  

CC Crafters - Pumpkin Candy Jar

The girls and I decided to use our love of crafting to bless our CC homeschool group.

We started a group called CC Crafters that will meet at our house on Friday afternoons to do a craft.  We made a banner to decorate for our first craft day.

We bought all of the supplies and had them ready for the kids to do the craft.

We just asked for a $5 donation to help cover the cost of the supplies.

We decided that we would give a prize to the Crafter of the Week!

This week's craft was a pumpkin candy jar!

 We had trouble picking just one crafter of the week, so these sweet sisters won it for this week.  They both worked diligently on their crafts and encouraged all of the other crafters.

Big Boy Baxter

Baxter is making new friends in the neighborhood.  He had fun playing at the park with Copper.

We took Baxter to the vet this week and found out that he weighs 8 pounds!  Our little boy is growing up too fast.  

Found Dog

The girls and I have been sick.  We spent most of the day yesterday in bed.  This morning, Madison and I were taking Baxter outside and found a dog sitting in our backyard.  She didn't have a collar on and looked like someone's pet that was lost.  We put her in the garage and made some signs.  We drove to the gates and put them up in the neighborhood.  We were also able to get a hold of the HOA and they sent out a mass email to everyone in the neighborhood to let them know that we found a dog.  Thankfully, the dog's owner came over and picked her up this afternoon.  

So glad we could help her make her way back home even though we aren't feeling well.  Please pray that we all recover quickly.  Being sick is no fun.  

4-H Horse Club

Tonight was Madison's first 4-H Horse Club meeting.  Several of the girls from the C7 Ranch and three families from our homeschool group joined too. 

We have been taking Baxter on lots of walks to the playground.  The girls did a little show for me today on the swings.

I rewarded the girls with a stop at Steak 'n Shake for running errands with me.

Pumpkin/Fall CC Snacks

Since it is the first day of October, we decided to make some pumpkin/fall snacks for CC today.  

We made Pumpkin Pretzels using pretzels, orange chocolate melts and green M&M's.  They are so yummy and cute.  

We also found this recipe online, but...

decided to replace the pumpkins with candy corn.
