Welcome to Stone Creek

Our neighbors across the street brought us cupcakes and welcomed us to the neighborhood.  They have a seven year old granddaughter that the girls are looking forward to meeting and playing with.

Today we hopped on the golf cart and headed to the playground.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch and...

then played on the playground.

It was nice to take a break from all the unpacking.

The girls are excited to have such a cool playground right around the corner.

When we got home, we collected all of the sticks that were in the yard.  I love how Jocelyn tried to break the sticks on her knee just like Daddy did.  She found out it is a lot harder than it looks. ;)

We burned up all of the sticks in our fire pit.

Moving Day

We were getting tired of sitting around the TLF waiting to move, so we drove down to Grandma and Granddaddy's house for the weekend.  While we were there, we loaded up a U-Haul truck with items they were giving us for the new house.

We started the drive back to Georgia, but ended up sitting for 2 hours on I-75 because of a bad accident just ahead of us.  The girls got out of the van to go talk to Daddy in the U-Haul truck in front of us.  Not many kids get to run on I-75.

Madison passed the time by reading the comics.  I filed my nails and Jocelyn watched The Lion King while we waited for the traffic to start moving.

Once we got to the house, we unloaded the furniture and returned the U-Haul.  We love our new comfy leather sofas.

Our first night in the house, was spent camping out in the Living Room.  Mommy got to sleep on the sofa.  Madison got to sleep on the loveseat.  Daddy and Jocelyn decided to sleep on the floor.  We enjoyed watching The Magic School Bus on the girls' DVD player before bed.

The next morning the movers arrived at 8 a.m.  They had everything unloaded and in the house by 3 p.m.

The girls were happy to finally sleep in their own beds.

Madison loves her new horse bedding.

After making sure that we all had beds that were ready to sleep in, I worked on putting all of the kitchen items away last night.  It is so nice to have a house to call home, even if it is full of boxes at the moment.  Thank you to all of you that have been praying for us during this move.  I will be posting more pictures of the house as we get things organized.

The Spot

We have enjoyed going to the base entertainment center called The Spot.  We got to play foosball, ping-pong and do a lazer maze.

We also went bowling!

Banks Lake

Today we went to Banks Lake in Lakeland, Georgia.

The girls loved seeing all of the lily pads.

It was a beautiful day at the lake.

We tried fishing,

but didn't catch anything.

We just enjoyed the beautiful scenery instead.

Our Top Pick

We have spent the last few days at the Stone Creek Golf & Country Club.

We are trying to finalize things with the house.

We got to meet some of the neighbors and found out that there are four other homeschool families in the neighborhood.

We are looking forward to sitting on the front porch in our rocking chairs or...

enjoying the shade on the back patio.

The cute two story guest house will...

give us plenty of room for visitors.

We are also excited that it is within walking distance of the community playground, swimming pool, splash pad, and golf course.

Let the House Hunting Begin

Today we went through the following 15 houses...

Here are our TOP 5...
This house is in a gated community and is in walking distance to the community pool and playground.  It even has a guest house.

This house has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and is very reasonably priced.

This house is 6,600 sq. feet and is right on a beautiful lake.

This house has its own swimming pool and playhouse in the backyard.

We are praying that God will make His will clear and help us as we search for our new home here in Georgia.
