Our Preschool Graduate!
Class of 2011!
Miss Shayla (our babysitter) graduated too!
She is a senior in high school and one of the high school helpers in Jocelyn's preschool class.
Madison got a special gift and recognition for coming in and reading to the class every week. Her name was listed in the graduation program under "staff." ;)
Jocelyn got her diploma!
She was so excited!
We enjoyed eating the refreshments after the ceremony with Mrs. Nyx and Jude.
Jocelyn and Destiny were the only girls in their afternoon preschool class.
Jocelyn and Scott became good friends this year too. Luckily, we will still see Scott at church since his family goes to Waters Edge Church too.
I am so proud of my girls and am looking forward to homeschooling both of them next year.
They love their preschool teacher Mrs. Mary. She even invited them both to come back and read to the class next year.
Mrs. Sharon has been an amazing Teacher's Assistant for 20 years. She is retiring this year and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Penny oversees the high school students, but loves spending time with the preschoolers. We will miss seeing her smiling face.
Here are some videos from the Preschool Graduation. Unfortunately, several of the videos I tried to take at the actual graduation were blurry because the auto focus on my camera couldn't keep up with the wiggling kids. It didn't help that I was sitting behind a large man that kept moving. When we got home Jocelyn sang her graduation songs all by herself. Hope you enjoy them!
Preschool Fun
(sung to the tune of "I've Been Working on the Railroad")
I've been having fun in preschool,
Learning all year long.
I can tell you all about it.
Just listen to this song.
We've been learning shapes and colors,
Letters and numbers too.
I've learned how to share with others.
Now our year is through.
Graduation Chant
I don't know, but I've been told
Kindergarten is the place to go!
I've learned my numbers and ABC's
Now I'm smart as I can be!
Sound off!
One, two.
Sound off!
Three, four.
Bring it on down!
One, two, three, four.
One, two...three, four.
Later, Alligator!
(sung to the tune of "Clementine")
See you later,
Alligator!
See you later,
Friends of mine!
What a great year.
Give a big cheer!
We sure had
An awesome time!
Madison couldn't wait to give Jocelyn her graduation gifts.
Jocelyn's favorite gift was a double slip 'n slide. Now she is ready for SUMMER!
We also gave Miss Shayla her graduation gift. She is graduating from high school this year.
We love Miss Shayla! She has become part of our family.
She was so excited about her graduation frame and money. She will be using her graduation money to buy her first car. She said it was her first $100 bill ever. ;) This afternoon we took her shopping for her graduation dress. We were so excited to buy her the perfect dress for her big graduation day. We are so proud of her. She will be attending a local college in the Fall to pursue her teaching degree.
