Operation Christmas Child

The girls and I finished putting together our Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes for this year.

Madison really enjoyed shopping and filling her shoebox this year. In past years she had difficulty realizing that she wasn't picking things out for herself. It was very sweet how generous she wanted to be. This year she helped write a note and drew a picture to include in the top of the shoe boxes.

Jocelyn was very confused about why everything had to fit into a shoebox. She kept picking out very large toys and items that wouldn't fit into her shoebox. Madison and I had to help her pick smaller items.

We are praying for the little girls that receive our shoe boxes. If you would like more information about Operation Christmas Child, you can visit their website at www.samaritanspurse.org.

B is for Ballet

It is the first ballet class of the month, so we got to go observe the class today. Madison LOVES when Mommy, Daddy and Jocelyn get to come watch her dance.

Madison does exactly what the ballet teacher does.

Practicing their jumping on the bar.

Practicing her positions.

Point your toe (and finger).

Madison really likes all of the girls in her class.

Time to pose.

Jocelyn did a great job dancing from her seat. She just can't wait to join the class next year.

Our beautiful ballerina!

Here is a video of Madison practicing her ballet positions.

Here is a cute video of how Jocelyn joined in on the ballet dancing from the sidelines.

Happy Birthday, Mia!

The girls wanted to wish their cousin Mia a VERY Happy Birthday today, so they made her a special birthday video:

Uncle Guy, Aunt Nelda, Mia and Blayke are coming to visit us in a week and a half. We can't wait to celebrate Mia's birthday with her when she gets here. We are also going to have an early Christmas with them when they come. We are looking forward to our time together. Happy Birthday Mia we love you and can't wait to see you and your family very soon.

Jocelyn Learns the Pledge

A few weeks ago I posted a video of Madison saying the Pledge of Allegiance. In that video Jocelyn was very sad that she couldn't say the Pledge of Allegiance yet. She has been practicing and we are happy to present the following video...

Berry Crisp

It was a cold and rainy day today for "B Week," so we decided to Bake some Berry crisp to warm our Bellies.

Madison put the crumbly crisp topping over the Berries.

Jocelyn was Bored Baking the Berry crisp.

Beautiful Berry crisp Before it went in our Bellies!

One Month and Counting

We only have...

DAYS left with our...

before he leaves for his deployment.

I am sure that this month is going to fly by, but we are going to try to cherish every minute of it with Daddy.

Halloween Gifts

The girls and I headed out early this morning to go to Target, Walmart, and Michael's for their after Halloween Sales.

Madison fell in love with this "Snow Princess" costume, so she used her own money to buy it.

"Snow Princess"

We were so busy yesterday for Halloween that I decided to wait and give the girls their Halloween gifts today.

They couldn't wait to see what was inside their pumpkin bags.

Yeah for Look and Find books!

Jocelyn loves Tinkerbell!

They couldn't wait to start reading their books.

All of their new books!

Madison is very good at Look and Find books. She is determined to find all of the hidden pictures.
