Madison's Ballet Recital

Today was Madison's first ballet recital.

Madison wore the bun cover that I wore when I was a little ballerina. Her ballet teacher even added some flowers to her hair.

Observation Day

Today was Observation Day at Ballet.

We are looking forward to Madison's first ballet recital on May 22nd.

Ballet and Sleepover

Today was "Observation Day" at ballet since class was cancelled last week.

We love watching our little ballerina!

She loves showing us what she has learned.

They ended the class today by performing "I'm a Little Teapot."

Lance is out of town for the week doing some pre-deployment training. Unfortunately, Nyx has not been sleeping well at home without him, so she and Jude decided to come sleep here tonight. The girls enjoyed getting to play with Jude all the way till bedtime. Hopefully we all get a good night sleep.

Ballet, Black Eye and Bangs

Today was Observation Day at Ballet since class was cancelled last week due to snow.

Madison is very serious about her ballet.

She watches the teacher very closely.

Arabesque!

Madison got her first "black eye" at our Super Bowl Party on Sunday. Jude threw a toy and it hit Madison right under her eye. (It is hard to see it in the picture. I should have taken a picture of it yesterday when it was darker.)

Jocelyn was jealous that I was taking pictures of Madison today, so she asked me if I would take some pictures of her and her bangs.

She is trying to grow them out as fast as she can.

1, 2, 3, 4...Pose!

Today was "Observation Day" for Madison's ballet class. This was the first time that Daddy wasn't there to watch her. Here is a cute video I took of the "1, 2, 3, 4 pose" dance. Madison is the little girl right behind the teacher, well at least for a little bit. ;)

Ballet Day!

Today was observation day at ballet.

Madison was happy that Daddy got to come observe today before he leaves for his deployment.

The Academy of Ballet is performing "The Nutcracker" this weekend. The girls and I are looking forward to going. Maybe next year Madison will be in the show.

Mouse Bun Cover

Madison was very excited to get a new bun cover today.

She loves her new mouse bun cover.

B is for Ballet

It is the first ballet class of the month, so we got to go observe the class today. Madison LOVES when Mommy, Daddy and Jocelyn get to come watch her dance.

Ballet Class

The first ballet class of every month is "Observation Day," so Daddy, Jocelyn and I got to watch Madison dance today.

She is VERY excited that we get to come to her class today. The girls sit on the bench and wait for the class to start.

Madison was surprised when she came home and found a special ballet gift waiting for her. Mommy and Daddy got her a new ballet book and ballet pajamas.

Madison's 1st Ballet Class

Madison got to go to her first ballet class today.

Here is a picture Grandma sent us of me in my ballet leotard and tights as a little girl. Grandma also sent Madison the bun cover that I wore when I took ballet as a little girl. What a precious keepsake. Thank you so much, Grandma!

Getting Ready for Ballet Class

Madison is very excited about starting a ballet class next week.

She has been practicing at home.

She loves getting dressed up in her tights, leotard, ballet slippers and getting her hair put up into a bun just like a real ballerina.
