Halloween Package from Grandma Cathy

Jocelyn's biological grandmother sent the girls a Halloween package in the mail. Jocelyn and I picked it up this morning from the Adoption Center.

Jocelyn was very happy to get a gift from Grandma Cathy.

Jocelyn got a placemat, pumpkin Peeps, and a black cat stuffed beanie baby.

When Madison got home from school she got to open up her gift from Grandma Cathy. She loves snuggling her new ghost.

It is so kind of Grandma Cathy to always send gifts for the girls on holidays.

Daddy and Donuts

It was "Donuts for Dads Day" at Madison's school this morning. Clay was able to meet her as she got off the bus and took her to the cafeteria to enjoy a donut and apple juice. Madison was very excited that Daddy came to school to have a donut with her. They even got to pick a brand new paperback book to bring home. What a great way to start the day!

Fall Festival at RBCS

Tomorrow is the annual Fall Festival at Rocky Bayou Christian School. We went last year and had a great time. Here are some of my favorite pictures from last year's Fall Festival:

Jocelyn's favorite thing last year was the "Petting Zoo."

Madison loved riding the horses.

We are looking forward to going to the Fall Festival tomorrow afternoon.

Fire Safety Fun with Friends!

Madison made a fireman toilet paper roll puppet today at school.

Tristen doing his own "Fire Spatter" artwork.

He even added a fireman to his picture to help put out the fire.

Tristen was very happy that he was able to draw the other half of the fireman.

We also did some fireman dot art.

Our finished dot art!

We played the "Fire Sight Word Game." I put sight word flames on the houses and Tristen had to tell me the sight word to remove the flame and save the house from the fire. He was an excellent fireman and saved all of the houses.

We made "Dalmatian Pudding" for a snack. You just sprinkle chocolate chips into vanilla pudding and enjoy.

Cake for the Caregroup Kids

Tonight all of the kids from Caregroup are coming over while the couples go out to dinner and a movie. Madison and I decided to make a cake as a special treat for the kids.

Madison is ready to get cooking.

Madison is an expert at mixing.

Licking the whisk is her favorite part.

Madison is waiting for the cake to finish cooking in the "pumpkin oven."

Madison can't wait to eat her beautiful cake with all of her friends tonight!

Moth Tragedy

We put the cocoon container outside, thinking that maybe it needed some sunlight to know that it was time to come out of the cocoon. Since it rained all day yesterday, I put a lid on it to keep it safe and dry. This morning when I went outside to check on it I found that the moth had finally emerged from his cocoon. Unfortunately, he got stuck between the container and the lid and died.

Dalmatian Fire Dog

Madison made a Dalmatian fire dog toilet paper roll puppet today at school.

Since it is Fire Safety Week, the firemen came to school today for an assembly. After the assembly, the kids were going to get to go outside and see the fire truck, but unfortunately it was raining. Madison was very disappointed!
