Road Trip to Illinois

Granddaddy started to go crazy after just 4 hours into our road trip to Illinois.

We stopped at the Welcome Center in Tennessee.

Granddaddy was up to his shenanigans again.

We stopped in Paducah, Kentucky for the night.

We walked along the Ohio River after eating dinner in Downtown Paducah.

The murals along the Ohio River downtown were beautiful.

We will finish up our drive to Illinois in the morning.

Sesame Place!

This morning we went to Sesame Place!

We were all excited to be at Sesame Place for the first time!

We can't wait to see the characters!

Daddy and Jocelyn rode the roller coaster!

Then we went to the Live Elmo's World Show!

Madison got to choose the next ride.

Balloon Race!

Screaming on the next ride!

Daddy and Jocelyn rode the Elmo Catfish. Madison and I rode the Elmo Angelfish.

After a fun morning of rides, we ate lunch at the Sesame Cafe.

Then we headed to Sesame Street for the parade. The girls couldn't believe that they were actually on Sesame Street.

Big Bird!

Telly Monster!

Zoe!

Bert and Ernie!

Oscar the Grouch and Slimey the Worm!

Cookie Monster!

Count von Count!

Grover!

????
Does anyone know who this is?

After the parade, we enjoyed two other fabulous shows.

The kids loved singing and dancing along.

We changed into our swimsuits and enjoyed the water rides to cool off.

The girls wanted to dry off on the swings. ;)

Picking their ponies on the carousel.

We finished our fun at Sesame Place with a special snack. Madison LOVED her Elmo cupcake!

Jocelyn ate Cookie Monster's cookies!

We picked up sandwiches from McNally's Tavern for dinner. Clay and I shared their famous "SCHMITTER" sandwich. We ate our dinner at the local wooden playground and then enjoyed walking the streets of Chestnut Hill.

The girls wanted to get their picture taken with every statue we passed.
