Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

I am so thankful to be a mom.

One of my sweet girls grew in my tummy and...

the other one grew in my heart.

Madison helped make me breakfast in bed and made me a sweet card that said I was "sweeter than honey."  Her biggest surprise for me was doing a math page on the weekend/holiday.

Jocelyn helped make my coffee and brought me breakfast in bed.  She also made me a card that said she "loves me more than chocolate!"

We enjoyed our special day together.  I am a very blessed Mommy.
My Mother's Day gift should arrive tomorrow.  They bought me a black and white reclining wing chair for our bedroom.  I am looking forward to reading my devotions and Bible in the comfort of my new chair.

Mother's Day!

The girls and Clay served me breakfast in bed for Mother's Day.  They also surprised me with sweet cards, flowers, and a Kohl's gift card.  We enjoyed a nice day together as a family.  Then Clay made a delicious Greek dinner and yummy white chocolate creme brulee for dessert.

Happy Mother's Day!

I want to wish my Mom a very Happy Mother's Day!
She is the BEST mom.  She raised me in a loving Christian home and continues to care and pray for my family.  We talk everyday and she is a great source of encouragement to me on my journey through motherhood.  Even though there are many miles between us, I know that she would be here in a heartbeat if I ever needed her.  She is an amazing example, I pray that I am that good of a mom to my girls.

Happy Mother's Day, Mamaw!
I have fond memories of playing games with Mamaw, the color blue, and smelling burnt popcorn when I tried to go to sleep as a child.

Happy Mother's Day, Grandma!
Grandma's house was always a place for Christmas Eve celebrations, playing with cousins and hiding under the coffee table.

Happy Mother's Day, Nana!
Nana raised Clay to be a wonderful man, loving husband and great father.

Happy Mother's Day, Mimi!
Mimi loves life and is the most active 90 year old I know.

Happy Mother's Day, Keisha!
Even though I only met you once, I am thankful everyday for the amazing gift you gave our family.

I LOVE being a MOM!

Breakfast in Bed!

The girls (and Daddy) surprised me with breakfast in bed for Mother's Day! They made stuffed French toast with strawberries and bananas. They even went outside and picked a pretty flower for me.

Jocelyn couldn't wait to give me the special Mother's Day gift she made at preschool.

A little Jocelyn flower made out of her hand and footprints.

Madison wrote me a song for Mother's Day.

I LOVE YOU!
By: Madison Rabens
I love you. I just love you so much that I could kiss you so much.
You make me breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You are a great teacher!

Here is the video of Madison singing her special Mother's Day song for Mommy:

I LOVE my girls so much and feel extremely blessed to be their Mommy. What a special gift from God they both are.

We want to wish my mom, Clay's mom, our grandmothers, Jocelyn's birthmother, Jocelyn's birth grandmother, and all of the other mothers a very Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

The girls and I have spent most of Mother's Day in our yard. It is a beautiful day to be outside. I worked in the flower beds while the girls rode their bikes and ran around picking flowers.

We made our own Mother's Day flower arrangement using flowers we found in our yard.

The girls made these cute Mother's Day cards at school for me.

Even ten little fingers
Can't count the ways
You care for me
Each and every day.

I also got a sweet Mother's Day card from Clay earlier in the week.
Dear Brittney,
Happy Mother's Day! I am so thankful to God that He has blessed our girls with such a wonderful, caring, thoughtful, patient, loving, nurturing, devoted, godly woman who they get the honor to call "Mommy." I love you so much and am so thankful for all you do for our family! We couldn't do it without you.
Love,
Clay
P.S. Hopefully, this is the last holiday I'm away for this year. Sorry!

As difficult as Clay's deployment has been, I am truly blessed to have this special one on one time to spend with my girls. What a gift from God my sweet girls are. I am a very blessed Mommy!

Happy Mother's Day to my amazing MOM. Thank you for the awesome example you have been to me. I love you so very much. I wish we could celebrate Mother's Day together.

Mother's Day!

Clay was on call Saturday, so he slept most of the day Sunday. Needless to say Mother's Day got a late start at our house.

Madison picked out this carrot cake for me at Publix. The girls and I enjoyed a piece after lunch.

After Clay woke up, I got to open up my Mother's Day gift. I got a GPS, so I won't get lost when we move to Virginia.

We went to the Crab Trap for dinner. The girls loved that their kid's meals came in a bucket with a shovel. Madison decided to turn hers into a hat.

After dinner we stopped for some ice cream.
