Skating

Today we took the girls to the local skating rink.

Clay opted for inline skates.  

Roller Roo was there for the 8 birthday parties that were happening while we were there.

Chapel

Jocelyn's 4th grade class sang Stand Firm and recited Psalm 1 today in chapel.  

They learned to be like a sparkler and spur each other on.  

Madison's Speech

Madison ran for 5th grade class representative for student government.  Here is her speech:

She did not get elected, but plans to run again in 6th grade.  

Monster Book Fair

I am enjoying volunteering in the girls' classrooms.  I got to decorate this door for the upcoming Monster Book Fair.  

Labor Day Weekend

Casey and the girls came to visit us for Labor Day weekend.  

Mr. Clay helped teach the girls how to play putt-putt golf.  

We enjoyed getting to show them around and taking them to a few of our new favorite spots. 

School Picture Day!

Today is School Picture Day!  Yesterday the girls experienced their first fire drill at school.  Jocelyn said she almost cried because she didn't know what was happening.  

Bio Poem

Madison has been in school for 5 days and has already volunteered to do the tv morning announcements and plans to run for the student government 5th grade representative.  When I asked her teacher how she seems to be adjusting, the teacher just laughed and said she is so friendly and always smiling that it feels like she has been part of this group for years.
