Madison was so excited to see the Resurrection Cookies that she woke up at 6:30 a.m. on Easter morning.
She was thrilled to see that the tomb was EMPTY!
He has RISEN!

Resurrection Cookies (Part 1)
The night before Easter we began making Resurrection Cookies with the girls.
First, we beat the pecans just like the Roman soldiers beat Jesus.
Then we smelled and tasted the vinegar that Jesus was given to drink while He hung on the cross.
The girls were all smiles when we used the egg whites to discuss how Jesus gave His life in order to give us life.
The one cup of sugar represents the sweetest part of the story that Jesus died because He loves us.
These mounds represent the rocky tombs where Jesus's body was laid.
We sealed the tomb. We can't wait to see what we find on Easter morning.
Surprise from Daddy
Daddy made the long 10 hour drive home from Ohio today.
Daddy brought the girls their very own flight suit.
Madison was so proud of her wings.

Easter Package from Grandma Cathy!
This morning we went to the Virginia Living Museum with Mr. Drew and Amelia. We all got to pet an owl for the first time.
The girls were super surprised when we got home and there was an Easter package from Grandma Cathy waiting for them. They love their new snuggle bunnies, chocolate bunnies and Easter Eggs. Jocelyn has already eaten the ears off of her chocolate bunny and Madison is busy planning an Easter Egg Hunt. Thank you so much Grandma Cathy!
Easter Snacks!
Today Madison read Gorilla, Be Good! to Jocelyn's preschool class for G Week. We brought in special Easter snacks to eat after the story today.
We made Carrot Cake Balls and Pops!
