Our 2013

January 2013

We started our year with a Moving Sale.  The girls had fun selling cookies.

We had our 1st snow of 2013!

We celebrated Jocelyn's Gotcha Day!

Clay spent two weeks at Tyndall AFB in Panama City Beach, Florida.  
He got to fly in the F-4 for the first time.

Aunt Sherry married John.



February 2013

Jocelyn lost her 1st front tooth.

Papaw went to be with the Lord.

I celebrated my 34th Valentine Birthday!

We drove down to Florida to attend Papaw's funeral.

We celebrated Great Grandma's 84th Birthday!

Clay aka Doc Stu flew out to Las Vegas to spend three weeks playing war games.

I took the girls to see their Great Granddaddy's grave.  He passed away when I was their age.

March 2013

The girls and I helped organize a Garage Sale to make room for Mamaw to move back in with Grandma and Granddaddy.  The girls sold more cookies at the Garage Sale.

Madison lost her 7th tooth!

Clay was selected to interview for the White House physician.



We spent a week in Washington DC enjoying the sites.

Jocelyn got a cute short haircut and donated her hair to Locks of Love.

We enjoyed one last snow in Virginia.

We had to say goodbye to good friends like Miss Shayla.

The movers loaded our entire house on a truck and took it to storage in Georgia.

We said goodbye to the house we called home for 4 years in Virginia.

We celebrated an early Easter at Nana and Pop's house in North Carolina.

We arrived at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia.

April 2013

We found our new home in Valdosta, Georgia!

We visited Banks Lake in Lakeland, Georgia.

We moved into our new house and began enjoying all of its amenities.  

We got season passes to Wild Adventures.

We got to meet Elias for the first time and got to visit with Kendra.

Madison had a bad scooter accident.

May 2013

The girls started having "sister sleepovers."

We picked strawberries for the first time in Georgia.

We played frisbee golf at Freedom Park.

We went to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture in Tifton, Georgia.

We went to the Echols Carrot Festival.

We went to the Wild Adventure Water Park.

Mother's Day with my girls.

We took Nana and Pop to Rutland's Farm to pick blueberries.

We went to the Morven Peach Festival.

We also went to the Adel Daylily Festival.

June 2013

We went to Myakka State Park with Grandma and Granddaddy.

The girls went to Winshape Camp with their cousins.

Madison lost her 8th tooth and bought a dairy.

 Daddy and his girls on Father's Day.

We celebrated Madison's 8th birthday!

July 2013

We celebrated Daddy's 34th birthday!

We watched the 4th of July fireworks at Wild Adventures.

We went blackberry picking at Berry Good Farm in Tifton, Georgia.

We went to Grand Bay for a nature hike.

Jocelyn celebrated her 7th birthday!

Mamaw celebrated her 85th birthday.

August 2013

We started a new year of homeschooling.  

Jocelyn began taking gymnastic lessons at the YMCA.

Madison started taking horse riding lessons at C7 Ranch.

Grandma and Granddaddy went to the Dominican Republic with Love Serves International.

Madison had to get an Upper GI Endoscopy.  

The girls started Awanas. 

Jocelyn lost two teeth in one day and bought new chapter books with her Tooth Fairy money.

We had our 1st day of school with our Classical Conversations homeschool group.  

Grandma's 58th Birthday!

We got to spend the day with our cousins.

September 2013

Baxter Maxwell Rabens joined our family!  

Uncle Kyle celebrated his 33rd birthday!

The girls had their first of many playdates with Katie.

Grandma and Granddaddy celebrated their 40th anniversary.

Madison had to have a hernia operation.

Daddy left on his 3rd deployment.

October 2013

Madison joined the 4-H Horse Club.

We started the CC Crafters!  Anyone from our homeschool group is welcome to come to our house on Friday afternoons to do a craft.  

Madison won 2nd place in the Awana Grand Prix.

Our homeschool group went on a field trip to Rutland Farms.

Baxter got fixed and had to wear the "cone of shame."

We had Pumpkin Day at CC Crafters.

We went with Katie's family to Mark's Melon Patch.

Madison got to go to Horse Camp at C7 Ranch with Miss Celina.

We went on a field trip to the Challenger Learning Center.

We hosted the CC Crafters Costume Party.

We went to Wild Adventures to see all the Fall decorations.

We went to the Stone Creek Trunk or Treat.

The girls were fairies for Halloween.

Baxter was the cutest pumpkin in the patch.

We went to the Northside Baptist Church Fall Festival with Katie's family.

We love Fall!

November 2013

We had homeschool playdates at the playground.

Uncle Kyle got hit in the nose with a softball and had to have surgery.


Baxter graduated from Puppy Class.

Uncle Guy, Aunt Nelda, Mia and Blayke came to visit us one weekend.

The girls and I went to Raisin' Cane for a day of Fall Fun!

We drove down to Florida to spend almost two weeks with our family.  Baxter got to meet Uncle Kyle and all of his Great Grandmas for the first time.

We got to celebrate Nana's 66th birthday with her.

We spent Thanksgiving with all of our family in Florida.  We missed getting to spend it with Clay, but were able to Skype with him and hear about his Thanksgiving oversees.  

December 2013

The girls picked out and decorated their own real Christmas tree.



We had the CC Christmas Party!


The girls and I had Cheer Camp.


Our homeschool group went to two local nursing homes to sing Christmas carols and do crafts.


The girls, Baxter and I went to Florida for the holidays.


The Barth Family came to Florida to spend Christmas with us.


We spent Christmas Eve with Nana, Pop and Mimi.


Christmas Day was spent at Grandma and Granddaddy's house with Ted.


It was Baxter's 1st Christmas!


We got to celebrate a late Christmas with Uncle Donn, Aunt Wendy, Uncle Guy, Aunt Nelda, Mia and Blayke.


Clay sent me flowers for our 12th Anniversary.




We are looking forward to Clay's safe return in 2014.  


2013 has been a very busy year.  We are looking forward to what God has for us in 2014.
