Riding through the Pasture

Madison got to ride through the pasture this week.  

Missy, one of the dogs at the ranch, ran along side Madison and Leo.

Madison is learning how to do the barrels.

Miss Celina is also teaching Madison how to weave through the poles.

Happy Grandparents Day!

The granddaughters and grandpuppy wanted to wish all of their grandparents a very Happy Grandparents Day!  We LOVE you lots, Grandma, Granddaddy, Nana, Pop, Mimi, Mamaw, Great Grandma, and Grandma Cathy.  

Play Date with Katie

Today the girls had their new friend, Katie, over for a play date after church. Katie is about a month older than Madison, so all the girls are very close in age and get along really well together.  

Katie's family visited our church and then we took Katie out to lunch and home with us for the afternoon.  

The girls had a great afternoon playing together and then we all headed to Awana.

Lots of Firsts at C7 Ranch

Today Baxter went to C7 Ranch to meet the horses and watch Madison's riding lesson.

He enjoyed playing with the other two dogs there, rolling in the grass and playing with his tennis ball.  

Madison also got to use her new riding helmet when she rode Leo today.

Madison is doing such a good job that Miss Celina let her ride in the pasture for the first time today.

She even got to wash down Leo for the first time today too.

Baxter

Today Baxter got his name tag! 

He is doing a great job sleeping in his crate.  The girls have filled it with tons of toys.  

He is also doing a great job going potty outside.  After he does his business we play ball.

Here is a video of Baxter's newest skill.  It didn't take him long to master the stairs.  

Baxter Maxwell Rabens

The newest member of our family is....

Baxter Maxwell Rabens!

He is a King Charles Cavalier and Poodle mix.  His birthday is July 5, 2013.  

We picked him up at the Ellenton McDonald's.  We joked that we picked Jocelyn up from a Chick-fil-a, so we will have to pick their baby brother up from a Burger King someday.  ;)

Grandma and Grandaddy surprised us by following us to check out their new grandpuppy and of course to see the girls' excitement about their new puppy.  

We made Baxter a little spot to sit in the van for the long 4 hour drive to his new home.  

He preferred getting snuggles from Jocelyn and...

Madison.

He just snuggled and slept the whole way home.  

We stopped at PetSmart to buy him some supplies.

Uncle Kyle's Early Birthday

Since we won't be here for Uncle Kyle's real birthday, we decided to celebrate it a little early.

Kyle wanted Clay to make him Chicken n' Dumplings for his special birthday dinner.

Uncle Kyle requested a cookie cake for his birthday dessert.

Time to open his gifts.

Now Uncle Kyle can come play frisbee golf with us in Georgia.  

Uncle Kyle will make 33 look good in his new Oakley sunglasses.
