Yesterday afternoon we drove to Jacksonville, Florida. Madison is being seen by a GI specialist there. The doctors are concerned because she is having issues swallowing and has lost weight over the last few months. She now weighs less than Jocelyn even though Jocelyn is one year younger and 3 inches shorter.
Daddy booked us a hotel room with a great view of the river.
We walked to the Jacksonville Landing to eat dinner.
(The Wolfson Children's Hospital is the building above Jocelyn's head.)
Since Madison wasn't able to eat or drink anything after midnight, Daddy let her order a special room service dessert. Yummy!
We had to be at the hospital at 7:15 am. Madison got changed into her hospital gown and socks. She didn't really like the outfit, but all of the people were very nice.
She got to play in the waiting room until it was time to meet with the doctors.
We are so glad that Daddy Doctor was able to make the trip with us.
Silly picture of what we thought Madison would look like after the procedure.
BIG KISSES for Madison before she went in for her endoscopy and biopsies.
She did great during the procedure. The doctor said everything looked good, but we won't get the results of the biopsies until next week.
Madison is doing well and is keeping liquids down, but needs to take it easy and add food back slowly to her diet.
