Georgia Museum of Agriculture

Today we went to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture in Tifton, Georgia.

The girls had fun playing and...

swinging!

The train wasn't running today, but...

we got to tour the Tift House.

The girls got to see lots of cotton.

At the Georgia Recorder,

the girls got to help run the printing press.

Madison and her finished product.

We went to check out the animals.

We got to pet the mules.

The girls got to grind corn.

Our school girls in the schoolhouse.

On the way home, we stopped at Rutland Farms to pick...

blueberries and...

strawberries!

We are looking forward to going back to pick peaches in June.

Nutty Nature

While trying to plant flowers in the yard, I fell into the hole from the tree stump that I pulled out of the ground the other day.
Everyone had a good laugh at Mommy's mud foot.

Daddy had to dig my shoe out of the mud hole.

Luckily, we finished our project without any other problems.

The girls found a bird's nest while we were outside.

The nest fell out of the tree, but it looks like the baby birds had already hatched and flew away.

Frisbee Golf at Freedom Park

Daddy bought us frisbees so that we could go play frisbee golf at Freedom Park.

We all needed a little practice, since we hadn't played in years.

Madison and one of her crazy frisbee throwing expressions.

Jocelyn liked throwing her frisbee from crazy locations.

We had a blast playing frisbee golf and...

didn't lose any of our new frisbees.

U-Pick Strawberries

Today we went strawberry picking for the first time in Georgia.

The strawberry field is right near the base.  You take a basket and pick however many you want.  Then you just put money in the money box before you leave.

We had the entire strawberry field to ourselves.

The field was muddy from all of the rain we have had, but the strawberries were ready for picking.

This was Jocelyn's favorite strawberry.

We are happy that Daddy could come pick strawberries with us.

Lots of yummy strawberries ready to pick.

Madison and her basket of strawberries.

The girls did a great job picking strawberries.  We are going to make a batch of strawberry freezer jam and give it out to our new neighbors.  They have all been so sweet in welcoming us to the neighborhood.  We hope they like our strawberry freezer jam.

Sister Sleepover

The girls decided to have a "sister sleepover" in Madison's bedroom last night.  They even made a schedule of things to do.

First, they read books to each other.

Then they did some ballet.

Daddy made them some s'mores for dessert.

They laid in bed and watched a Magic School Bus together.

Time for bed.  They like having two beds in Madison's room.  Sister sleepovers might become a regular thing.

Wet at Wild Adventures

We went to Wild Adventures today in hopes of seeing the Christian concerts this afternoon.  However, it was wet and ended up pouring down rain right before the concerts were going to start.  The girls were getting too cold and wet to stay and listen to the music.  At least we had some fun before the weather got too bad.

The Yard

Today I pulled up this big stump while working in the yard.  The girls cheered me on and wanted to take a picture of me with it to send to Daddy.

Jocelyn enjoyed playing with all of the worms while I worked.  She took a picture of this super l-o-n-g worm.

Over the weekend, Grandma helped us pick out plants for the guest house flower boxes and front porch.

We are all enjoying our patio, but...

our favorite spot is the swing.  Clay and I have enjoyed eating breakfast out on it and the girls read to me everyday on the swing.

My sweet husband surprised me with flowers to thank me for all the hard work I have been doing to make our house a home.
