Our First Sewing Project

Grandma and Granddaddy bought Madison and I our own sewing machines for Christmas this year.

Madison has been looking forward to making our first project together. We used her "little" sewing machine to make an Ariel purse.

She LOVES her new little Ariel purse!
She had to wear her Ariel pajamas to match her purse. ;)

We are very proud of our first project. I must admit that we started out making an Ariel stocking though, but quickly realized that we should master sewing straight lines first. I should have taken a picture of our sad looking attempt at a stocking. Clay got a good laugh at it.

Fun in PA!

We took everyone to Taco Bell for lunch and then...

let the kids play at the indoor play place.

They had so much fun playing together.

Then we headed to Walmart and Gammy let the kids pick out their own Christmas presents from her and PapPaw. Desmond picked a ball popper. Jocelyn got a Barbie with wings. Jeren got a gumball machine. Tristen picked a Lego set. Kerra got some winter hats and a new pair of jeans. Madison got a Rapunzel doll.

We spent the rest of the day playing with our new toys, eating pizza for dinner and watching a movie together. It was sad to say goodbye, but we are looking forward to another visit in the future.

Pajama Day in PA!

Our friends came over to our vacation house this morning for an early Christmas celebration.

The boys were excited to open their gifts.

We got each of the kids a new Christmas book.

We decided to have story time in the big bed.

Madison got the cutest pair of slippers. She can't wait to decorate them.

Jocelyn LOVES the pony that she got and is looking forward to decorating it.

I won a contest on Mrs. Megan's blog, so I got some Astronaut Ice Cream and Potato Dumpling Mix for my prize.

Mrs. Megan helped Kerra open one of her gifts.

Madison loved getting to hold and cuddle Kerra.

The Pajama Girls!

Girly Girls!

Gammy loved her snowglobe with a special message from the girls.

The boys enjoyed playing with their new Hex Bugs and Zhu Zhu pets.

Tristen was excited about his new Star Wars costume.

Jeren couldn't wait to try his on.

Star Wars Storm Troopers!

Desmond helped me get the candy ready for the gingerbread house.

The kids ate more candy than they put on the house. ;)

Time to decorate our gingerbread house.

Our finished house!

We had so much fun decorating it with Gammy.

Oh no...the roof is sliding off.

There it goes.

CRASH!

I guess we get to eat it now.

Desmond ate the gumballs.

Jocelyn enjoyed a peppermint.

Movie and snuggle time with Gammy!

Silly picture!

Jocelyn found a special spot to watch the end of the movie.

All of the sudden we noticed that the rain turned to SNOW!

Gammy and Madison catching snowflakes on their tongues.

Jocelyn's turn to catch some snowflakes.

Gammy gave Madison her Monkey Hat!

Jocelyn wanted to try it on.

Gammy and the girls are ready to go outside and play in the snow.

The girls are so excited about their first snow of the season.

Gammy and the girls enjoying the SNOW!

The van was covered.

Jocelyn loves eating fresh snow.

Gammy misses PapPaw.

So much fun in the SNOW.
We can't wait to see when we get our first snow in Virginia this year?
