The First Day of School!

Madison is so excited that it is finally her first day of Kindergarten!

It is hard to believe that our sweet little Madison is old enough for Kindergarten.

Our Kindergartner!

The girls are happy that it is the first day of school, but they are also a little sad that they won't be in the same class like last year.

Jocelyn is ready for her first day of school too.

Looking all grown up.

Love those curls!

Ready to be the BIG girl in Preschool!

Preschool Girl!

Next year she will be in Kindergarten!

Time to get our backpacks and lunch boxes and head to school.

Madison has everything she needs for a great first day in Kindergarten!

Madison made a video about what she thinks her first day of Kindergarten will be like.

We dropped Madison off and said our goodbyes. All of the Kindergartners sat together in a common room and looked at books while they waited for everyone to arrive.

Jocelyn and I spent the morning running errands, but did make a special stop at Starbucks for a mid-morning snack. Jocelyn enjoyed a chocolate milk and her first blueberry scone. Mommy enjoyed the special one on one time with Jocelyn. I am already dreading next year when they will both be in school all day. I guess Mommy will have to volunteer a lot in their classrooms.

Jocelyn is ready to go to her Preschool Pad.

Jocelyn had a great first day back at Preschool. Although she missed Madison, she is thrilled that Jude is in her class now. Jocelyn also got to be the "Special Helper" today. But according to Jocelyn, Ms. Mary picked her to be the "special helper" because she loves her and thought her dress was pretty. ;)

The girls made a video to tell everyone about their first day of school! Enjoy!

The Night Before Kindergarten!

It is hard to believe that our little Madison will be going to Kindergarten tomorrow.

We have been reading tons of books about Kindergarten!

The Night Before Kindergarten is finally here and she is SO EXCITED!

The "New" Sweet Treats!

Today we had our Yard Sale and...

introduced the "New" Sweet Treats stand!

The girls did a great job decorating their HUGE box and helping make the chocolate chip and sugar cookies to sell. We decided to just sell lemonade juice boxes so that the girls wouldn't have to pour (aka spill) anything. ;)

They were so excited to make their first dollar!

Today they made a total of $8.00!

The "Original" Sweet Treats!

When my brother and I were little, my Dad converted our wagon to a Sweet Treats stand. Once we painted it, I made a tape of myself playing the piano to play as we rolled our wagon around the neighborhood just like an ice cream truck. ;)

The "Original" Sweet Treats!
Kyle (my brother), Jill (our neighbor) and myself are looking cool in our matching outfits and are ready to sell our tasty Strawberry, Orange, Banana Popsicles.

We even had our names on the back of our shirts.
What GREAT memories! Thank you Grandma and Granddaddy.

Stay tuned tomorrow for....

The "NEW" Sweet Treats!
The girls won't have a super cool wagon or matching t-shirts, but they will be selling cookies and lemonade from a HUGE box in matching dresses at our Yard Sale tomorrow. They can't wait!

Budding Photographer

Madison asked if she could use our old digital camera to take some pictures.

Self Photo just like Mrs. Megan. ;)

Picture of Mommy!

Picture of Jocelyn!
Madison posed her on the pillow for a better shot.

Zhu Zhu Family Portrait!
She lined them all up and rearranged them multiple times until she got her shot.

Photographer Madison even managed this cool mirror reflection shot of Daddy in the kitchen.

Madison asked if she could stand on the kitchen counter so that she could get a picture of both of us and the dinner that was cooking. She has quite an eye for photography.

Special Delivery!

The girls were SUPER excited when this HUGE truck pulled up and dropped off this VERY special delivery! They couldn't help Daddy unwrap it FAST enough!

Uncle Kyle figured out a way to help Grandma and Granddaddy ship the dollhouse to us.

Click here to see more about this very special dollhouse that Granddaddy made for me when I was little. We can't thank Granddaddy, Grandma and Uncle Kyle enough. We LOVE you guys and the dollhouse!

We even LOVE playing with the bubble wrap it was packed in!

The girls enjoyed playing in the HUGE box that the dollhouse was shipped in too. Daddy cut a door and windows in the box and the girls decorated it and turned it into a lemonade stand. They are trying to earn some money to buy more Barbies and furniture for their new dollhouse. ;)

School Open Houses!

Tonight we had both of the girls' School Open Houses to go to.

Jocelyn is so HAPPY to be back in Ms. Mary's preschool class this year.

Jocelyn will miss not having Madison in her class this year, but is thrilled to have Jude joining the class.

Next we headed to Madison's brand new school for her Open House. The school provided a hot dog dinner for everyone and then allowed us to go to the classrooms to meet the teachers. When we arrived to the Kindergarten classrooms we could NOT find Madison's name on any of the class lists. We immediately headed to the office to figure out the problem. She was on the master list, but was NEVER assigned to a teacher. Luckily we were able to talk to the principal and get her assigned to a class.

Madison will be in Mrs. Hasselquist's Kindergarten Class!

The classrooms are amazing and HUGE!

Everything is brand new and the technology is awesome!

Madison is looking forward to being in Mrs. Hasselquist's Kindergarten Class!
